Holy crap Chris, this is just stunning as all get out. The detail you put into this, the character, wow, oh wow. I know many have rode on the ideals of EC Comics over the years, but I seriously think we are as closest to the peak creative output they were doing then. Magnificent job man. You have made my day.

Thanks, Larry! I'm really really trying to emulate the EC ideals! I've been reading a LOT of them in black and white (I picked up a full set of the Complete EC Library on ebay a few months ago), and I've been learning a lot!
I'm still kind of worried about the water rendering on the main panel in this page, but I'll get over it.
As for the rest of the story, I'm gonna try and John Severin it up!

Well I really do hope you put your worries about the water rendering aside, I think it's great, and you did a terrific job. Love the sounds of you "John Severin"-ing it up. I need to get more EC Comics for my collection, got most, but stopped for a few reasons. I think you taking in those raw pages, and living in the EC headspace has really worked great for you.

WOW.............................................top marks for those detail and the layout. I used ot love to see those ol' 'Kirby comics that did that and John Byrne too. Good stuff.
