It's too bad that some of the best vids are getting pulled off YouTube.
The ones most caught seem to be Halo AMVs, and I don't know why.
It's really sad...

I get that, but the whole point of YouTube is folks expressing themselves and their appreciation of other art forms through video productions, correct?
Aren't fanvids included in that category?

Yes, that is true, but the ones that I've seen always cite that in their comments and such, disclaiming their ownership of the original work.
It should still be allowed, right?
