okay we have a few pieces of pipe, some springs, and a basic workshop........lets make a submachine gun...

Probably not the best gun ever made, but it served it's intended role nicely.

I had a chance to shoot one a few weeks back and I have to say I was less than impressed with them. The Sterling is a far better 9mm SMG.

STEN was designed with another thing in mind - to make it as easy to produce, as possible.
