"Cyberbullying" is when a child, preteen or teen is tormented, threatened, harassed, humiliated, embarrassed or otherwise targeted by another child, preteen or teen using the Internet, interactive and digital technologies or mobile phones. It has to have a minor on both sides, or at least have been instigated by a minor against another minor. Once adults become involved, it is plain and simple cyber-harassment or cyberstalking. You give a thoughtful crit that has some negative points in it, you are a cyber bully/troll.
You point out that a person is stealing artwork or breaking the rules, you are a cyber bully/troll.
You correct someone's grammar, you are a cyber bully/troll.
Some of these kids today are so freaking weak.

Bullying is when someone torments you to deliberately make you feel like you have no power over anything. It is not when your friend teases you and you pretend to get upset.

I agree some people might be too sensitive on-line. Β But the lines between cyber-bullying and adult cyber-harassment/ stalking might be a bit more blurry then we would like to think.

Check out the workforce as well as the internet. Adults are bullied into submission quite often. To say they aren't is just semantic opinion. I know several adults involved in a case resolved about it recently, actually. The terms "bully" "harassment" and "stalker" were flipped around quite frequently as desired.

I've been easily bullied in every grade mostly by senior pupils because of my surname. Mane other people get hardly bullying, and maybe you would think "you can avoid this, it's not that hard", but I am very sensitive about this since I was born. I've got bullied since I went to kindergarden. Other kids stoling my toys sometimes. Once, I've beenΒ almost strangled by some boy that bullied me at kindergarden most. Several times at school I've got called a "maniac", "demon", "junkie" because I was wearing something different and I haveΒ the dark circles under my eyes. Not my classmates though, only few of them bullying me (and other classmates. some of them got bullied (at this time too) more, much more than me). Once I haven't got a choice, and I sit with my bully. Teacher said that "she's sitting with him but not with her (don't wanna call their names), that means that she have feelings for him", mostly everyone just looked at me and smile unfriendly...Β
Once I sat with my second bully (now he isn't bullying me much, but those days.. hell), he just harassed me and bullied me, almost every math lesson we got.Β
Since now, sometimes when kids not from my class, when first heared my surname, just giggling, and god this is so annoying, it is just... lowers my mood.

Bullying, harassment... aren't they the same thing in the end regardless of age? I mean, one could say that a worker is bullied in the workplace. Y'know, labeling something as 'bullying' makes a serious attack on someone less critical, and I think that's wrong. Bullying is just another word for harassment in my opinion.

A friend of mine was recently harassed on here to the point where they thought about giving up on their whole artistic thing and they almost did for awhile. Their bully went as far as to make threats and recruit people to harass and make threats too. The reason was because this person wanted my friend to give them things and they refused. Their version of apology was basically victim blaming and telling everyone that they are the victim and my friend was the true bully, even though there was so much proof that my friend was the one being harassed! I saw the e-mails and stuff they showed me and it was just overwhelming damning. My friend now has changed their views on things and I'm sure they still feel anxious about what their bully will do next. When confronted with the evidence their bully played dumb and told people that non of that ever happened, despite the fact everyone saw it and has proof! Then they pull out their version of apology which is basically, "I'm sorry about everything that happened, but you shouldn't have done that. But I forgive you uvu" What kind of bullshit apology is that?! It's just their way of victim playing and turning it around by saying, "I"m TeH VICtim, BAAW!!!"

My friend was so pissed off at this site by being called a "cyberbully" and a "troll" when she said a few little sentence to a couple bitches who in her words sicked their brainwashed armies on her that she decided to give up dA. Neither of them actually spoke to her directly. The first one used nothing but bases and had hugely obvious mary-sues that no one else called her on or was even told she had a bad character before. With the second one, my friend just commented there was a trend going on with a similar hairstyle and she was blocked by the userΒ right after said user got the last word in. My friendΒ blocked them both to keep them from vandalizing her page if they ever do.
My friend used to love this site. Now she's back to writing her novel instead of taking a chance of finding an idiot that will shoot up her blood pressure and make her wind up in the hospital again. I bet those bitches that pushed her to her breaking point of tolerance on this site wouldn't believe that even if I shove her medical records in their faces.

There's a 20-year-old bitch who cyberbullied a young user on DA, posted photos of her harassing the young user, and said how she (The young user) should die just because she likes Johnny Test.

I had younger cousin who is about 11 years old, she made an account to deviantart. She wanted to post stuff there so she gone to google to post something she liked, but she got negative feedback saying "YOU FUCKING UGLY SHIT U STOLE THIS ART YOU BITCH GO DIE." She cried because people were very rude to her. I'm just sad how people say go die you stole art. To hurt someones feelings. Look if someone steals art, don't bitch at them saying they should die. Just calmly say, you stole this art from *Name here* Please delete ok sweetie?"
