Description I have a bouquet of light
cliques
of shattered sunrays
that shun those 
whose rose is not as rubicund
or whose cerulean is only slightly sea-green-stained.

This amazing poem inspired me so much that I couldn't rest until I had illustrated its first stanza. Be sure to read all of it, it's so worth your time.

Dieses Bild hat wirklich Tiefe und auch sehr bemerkenswert sind auch die Details !

Wow, you've really done the hair justice! I love how you painted almost every individual strand, it really enhances the realism and the lighting that you've chosen is fantastic. It adds to the ethereal feeling of this painting and sets a very nice tone. You are obviously very skilled and have an eye for detail - for that I bow to you, keep up the good work!

Thank you very much for the compliments! I am indeed a sucker for detail but the hair is far from painted in individual strands - I just found a less time-consuming technique to it.

In a sentence: you paint the basic shape with solid color, then one layer of the shapes of the strands and major shadows and highlights in a speckled brush and finally a top layer of details done in a simple round brush. I've explained the whole technique in detail maybe 5-6 times by now, I'm thinking of turning into a small tut

Wow, this is very beautiful! I love the colour of her hair and you did an excellent job on the freckles! It looks almost like a photograph and I do love the little bunch of heart berries (or whatever they are...), its a nice touch.

In terms of improvements, I can spot only two things that you might want to have a look at:

- the orange flower piece is too much to the front: the position suggests it is almost on her forehead, I think it needs to be a bit further back... to be fair, the position of the other piece is also a little off: it seems to be attached to her ear, I initially thought that the heart berries (that is what they shall be called now) were an earring...

- The collarbone seems a bit odd to me... I am not sure though, I have been staring at it and I am not certain: best way to be sure: have a look in the mirror in a similar angle and see whether your collarbone is there at that angle... I might just be seeing things

Thanks a lot for the compliments and critique! Your feedback means a lot to me and made me reconsider some of the aspects of the painting. To be honest I didn't really give much thought to the position of the plants, I only wanted them to suggest the position of a crown but I didn't quite make it. :/ As about the bleeding hearts (that's how the flower is called ) this is how I wanted them to hang and I'm glad to hear they look like an earring xD And I see what you mean with the collarbone - the angle is indeed quite odd and I wasn't able to really make much with imagination, I was rather following the reference photo but you did make me think if I might have distorted it somewhat.

Thanks so much for the lovely compliments! Texture is usually something very tedious for me since I like the control a simple hard round brush gives but everything happens so slowly with it. There are other brushes around that help with that very much like the pack I linked in the description. They are awesome for putting down some basic texture that you can work with with simpler brushes.
