Landscapes of the mind open-up within, They of sentimental ways to begin, With a roaming whim capturing moments, Spring amuses with frosted condolence, Till the coil of time settles itself, Balancing the peace of sleep with oneself, March is a dream between the serene span, From perception of where it all began, To the merry horizon at midday, Oak’s preening in wait, the stage we survey, Mapped by heart and loved from the very start, Every step appreciates Her fine art, Inches become vistas pollinating, Fertile imaginations translating, The cycle of health spoke so wholly, and- Of a past - seen ahead – this homely land, Called to touch the lives of Her people true, In their Soul such a love could then imbue, With ease of reverence, Her venerable stir, Feast from ethereal plate and Spring myrrh, With inhalations blessed, beloved, ingest, Happy days of yore heartily expressed, This air we share bears testimony too, For the freedom by the hour shines through. ©Daniel Brooks-Laurent, 16 March 2015Related content
