Description
Abstract shot of a fence at the entrance of "Planten un Blomen", Hamburg.Reminds me of the barren wasteland in Tron.
Holy crap...my second DD. Now that's an awesome way to start a week!
Thank you, for this feature! And thanks for all the comments and favorites of you guys!

You know, I'm just guna say it since everyone is being really nice. I find abstract...icky. I understand it from art class and the fundamentals of it..but this? I don't think this should be a DD and I noticed a lot of the DD's on DA are running thin of being very good. I think this is professional, the waves allow for a psychedelic look that I do rather enjoy but honestly, something else from you gallery would have been better.

You said it yourself: Abstract isn't an easy concept. Abstract art or abstract photography? Sometimes I ask myself: What is the difference between an abstract photo (let us take this one for example) and a snapshot? To be perfectly honest: The only real difference is inside my head. This photo isn't just a snapshot. The moment I saw that fence at the entrance of "Planten un Blomen" I had the idea of using this fence in order to create something like you see it on the photo.
Can you know that it's a concept in my head? Of course not. But that's not the point. You said that it looks professional: Thank you! Because you're basically one of the first to say something like that. Second thing: It seems psychadelic. Awesome. Because that means I took a photo that has an impact on you. And that is incredible hard when doing abstract stuff.

Thanks for being mature about it too haha, I have had a lot of bad comments when trying too be harsh. But hey, your welcome it was still damn good art. Keep it up though, you do produce great art in that workshop of a head you have.

You stated your oppinion. And that in a very formal way. So what's the point in starting a flamewar? Sometimes I browse through the comments of DD's. Some of them are hilarious. Some can't be taken seriously. And others are just pure shit.
I guess it's because people expect too much of a DD. I like DD's because for me it's basically: Hey look, this picture/photo/poem is interesting. Maybe you want to take a look. And basically that's it. I know that there are many persons who (for example) don't like the constant flood of female body-parts. But think of it the other way round: The quality of the images shows the overall quality of this site (note: Quality, not quantity!). I can't imagine how it must be to be a gallery host. To feature almost everyday (or everyday) a photo...I think I would run out of ideas after two weeks. And then you're depending on the suggestions of others. I wouldn't want to do this job. Not even for money.
