Description
I got a bunch of notes on how I made this photo: [link]And while you're at it: [link]
So I decided to make a tutorial. I don't know if it's useful. Let me know if you have some use for it...and if not, not.
Hit the download-button for fullsize. But beware, it's quite big.
Edit: HOLY CRAP!!! A DD?!
I should probably say something cool or inspirational in this moment, but my brain just went offline...
Thanks to all the comments and favs, I will come back to you, I promise. When I made this I didn't thought it had any use at all. Maybe I have to rethink my standarts...
If you use this tutorial, please send me a note. I would love to see your version and I would like to link it to the tutorial. But it's your choice of course.
Here are some examples of peoples who used it:

Beautiful work.Β
How did you make this tutorial, or I should ask what program can I create something similar. I definitely want a vertical orientation with more than four panels. Β Β

I used. Photoshop. Or Paint Shop, can't remember. Gimp should work too, if you don't have PS.
I just created a new image, 4000 pixels wide and 20.000 pixels high. Then I placed photos where they would fit and added some text below. As simple as it gets.

Can a samsung cell phone camera do this???? and what is apature?
π: 0 β©: 1
DanielHeydecke In reply to KhaleesiKiyiya-Wolf [2014-06-14 14:31:28 +0000 UTC]
While I haven't ever tried it with a cell phone camera, I'm pretty sure that it won't work. The main reason is that you need a powerful flash, a certain level of magnification and you need to be able to change the settings of the camera manually, like the shutter time and such.
As for what apeture is: I made another tutorial that's dealing with that Topic (although just a bit). Maybe this will clear things up:

Very good tutorial, now I am going to try it out.
Have already come around the issue with the drops staying on the surface by using an injection syringe and dishwashing soap.

If nothing seems to work: Try to add some dish soap to the water. It's best to put it where the water comes out of the tab. So make a small opening in the straw (or leave some open space) and put a few drops of dish soap there. That should give you a kick-start. They won't be as round and nimble as without dish soap though.
