Digital painting, Corel Painter, 2013Made a portrait of myself. I usually hesitate to do so, because it sort of stirs up my insecurity a bit, but it's always good to get out of one's comfortzone.
If you want me to make one of these for you, from a photo of your choice, then let me know. I'm currently back to doing digital portraits on commission for a while. They are 40$ a piece. I've set out to do 20, so hurry up and order one if you are interested. You can choose the format/size, but the default setting I use is 50x70cm at 150 dpi.

Cool cool, Dan! I hugely recommend you jump out of your comfort zone and start trying some stuff you've never tried! (Every time I've seen you do it you have learned something and gotten better! Jump out, man! Do it!) I would highly recommend reading Alla Prima by Schmid! Excellent book and definitely has helped me look at painting in a completely different way!

Well, this one was not technically out of my comfortzone, just uncomfortable with painting myself. It's akward because you have to really look at yourself and accept what you see. I have alot of insecurities, and they come to surface when I do a selfportrait.
