Description
I sketched this a few months ago. I finally got around to scanning and coloring it today.A few people have asked me before about what program I use. I cant remember who asked, but for anyone who's curious I use Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0 Yes, two point o, and yes, ELEMENTS. Its not even real Photoshop. Its a pain in the ass and drives me insane. I got it for free with my scanner, and of course, anything you get legally for free is going to SUCK.
So if you ever buy a tablet or scanner and get Photoshop 2.0, no, no, no BURN IT OR THROW IT OUT A WINDOW OR SOMETHING, its impossible.
Crits and Comments please.
If i made this a print, would anyone buy it?

Aww, I very much like this one. It has a very nice flow to it and the detail is amazing.
I find that Photoshop Elements is a rather nice program, actually. It's good for artwork along with editing photos. (:
(I use 5.0, but it's pretty similar to 2.0, since I used to use 2.0 until the program got lost when we got a new computer.)

Oohhh This is BEAUTIFUL! Raven. I must say it is one of your best works yet; and I'm sure someone would buy it if you put it as a print. Wonderful job with the detail, and the lucious lavender hues. Great job in general! No crits ^^

haha yes Photoshop 2.0 Elements came with my tablet. It drives me up the wall. I envy you for understanding it
but then again I use Paint Shop Pro anyway....
Your realism just seems to get better and better Raven. I love the overall mood of this picture. It's so soft and calm. Makes me tired actually... *yawn* I love it though.

I would buy your work if i had money, although not this one for hte pure reason that it doesnt go with the other pictures in my room (they're mainly dark).

Ummm I use that program too *shrugs* I like it better than Photoshop CS 7 I use at school but I guess I like things simple. Very nice colors by the way and I really enjoy the petals.

Awesome job! Although, the shading on her forhead seems to be bothering me- I think it's because from the bottom of the face upwards- it seems that the light source is reflected from the petal surrounding her neck. Just a touch of light on the space between the eyebrows and fanning up might help a bit.
Also- I adore the lips and the shading on them. Oh- and I agree with you on the Photoshop Issue, I have 4.0 and believe me it sucks just as much as 2.0. When I get CS2, maybe I could send my installation disk over to you so that you could install it and send it back? Because, after you install it, you don't need to use the disc anymore.
Anyway- great job! The shading is definitely something to look at, and the petal dress itself is fantastic!
