The bit that gets me is...the reflections on Doc Oct's tentacles. You can see Spiderman's blue and red, just faintly...god...fucking unreal.

what can i say, if i would look very very close i might find some things i wont like but hey these colors are better then the colors in about 80 % of my comics (for wich i did pay a lot of money

great job here. man.. how many layers does it take to color something like this? and what kinds file size do you end up with?

I only use onelayer to work on, as for file sizes. I try to keep my sequential pieces that I'm working on at 400 dpi 7 by 10 with a file size of 80mb. This allows me to play music on my comp while I work. That's very important to me. :]
also be sure to go to a college that has a variety of classes to choose from. Do be like me and hope or assume it'll be there.

I got my degree in graphic design back in '96 tho... But its never too late to pick up some new classes tho..
I suppose then that you use channels? I havent gotten into them very much. i mostly use one flats layer, then one duplicate layer on top to do all the renders.

I've read a hell of a lot of Spiderman comics, but I can't remember if Doc Oc ever figured out Spidermans identity... 
Anyway! This piece is really great. Just the kind of cartoon style I like.
I agree with #blueballs on the cracks in the wall-thing, though. It does look a bit weird. But other than that, this piece is perfect. So much detail, and excellent colouring. I don't think I have much other choice than to

Wow!! Amazing detail on the metal arms. I can see octopus and spiderman being reflected into it. The rest of the details are just fab. I hope spideys identity remains protected somehow.
