CRAAP! I saw that 1st comic with the vulture dude guy (yeah, I dont know nothing about Spiderman) and I was amazed at the awesome colors. I thought : "These colors look so...familiar? But I dunno..."
I was going to buy the comic, since it was the last one left, but I didnt cuz it was all f'd up.

For criticism, I don't like the cracking wall effect, it's drawn well and colored well but lacks shadow to show the cracks and peices that are embedded more than others. Though it's still excellent, it's a small detail. I love the broken wire on the bottom. This is great coloring, you always do well.

Yeah, I didn't like it either. I'm still trying to get use to working fast and still keeping things the way that I want them to look. But it's a learning thing. I've got to find a way to do so and not stay on one piece for to long.

Just when I thought I was getting good you had to raise the bar again. You are truely the best colorist I have EVER seen and I should know as I have been HUNTING for art to drool at, since it shows me where I need to be. This is amazing. And Mr. Brooks (he deserves the formality) is a superb artist as well. Amazing. You two will be HUGE, very, very soon.

Oh man. The colors are perfect! The sparking wire is my favorite part. Mark puts so many little details into his pics and you always catch them. Another job well done.

Well, I only wish that my college had an animation class or two. You're lucky. The whole time that I went to college, it's been none stop ADvertising learning. There's been very little illustration art to it.

How come it seems like most of the extremely talented folks on dA don't get the best colleges? I just think it's unfair...seeing as how I'll most likely be going to SCAD next year and my stuff won't be as good as yours in a million years. =/ I don't really know how good SCAD is in comparison to everything else, but they do have a ton of majors, so that's always a plus.

The animation was fantastic. We actually had a teacher who worked on the original dragonball series and that war of the worlds cartoon (at least I think that was it). We made fun of him a lot. Another teacher was the fx animator for Anastasia and Titan AE. He loved his job. It was a real experience being in his class. And then there were the other teachers who were ex-animators that really hated their jobs so it kinda brought you down a little.
I hated the 3d stuff. Me and Maya, Lightwave and Photoshop do NOT get a long.
You'll feel better with it when its all done and over with and you can sit back and finally enjoy what you've accomplished.

Yeah, it had several drawing classes, but they got those done and over with in the beginning. The end is all design... But yeah you're probably right. I guess it's never to late to learn something. Life isn't that short... Oh no! You've got me thinking positively... I feel dirty now... argh!!

Heheheh, excellent. I'll never rest until I get Dan to have a positive outlook on his career! I've actually got an associates in animation that I can't really use. I've wanted to go to CalArts for years but I can't afford it soooo I've decided to write a book... hopefully i'm a good enough writer to get it published one day. Then maybe i'll be able to afford continuing on with animation. But for now its on hold... so yeah, its never too late.
