Did you know Lady on original DMC series had a fucked up life too. Her dad killed her mom, destroyed her life, tried to kill her too but she escaped. But you know what she did? She became a badass bitch who can beat the hell out of any demon despite being a human. Compare to her, Kat is a whiny bitch. Such a shame franchise has ruined the series.
And you obviously didn't know much about the original series, I doubt you didn't even played the games. You are those peoples who doesn't know a shit about DMC and happy about a lame ass game that is waayy to easy to beat.

No offence but Kyrie was the most Useless Female Character on the DMC series... I HATE Lady but even she had more going for her than Kyrie. And the new DmC isn't even out so you can't comment on Kat at all. it isn't fair. Until you actually play the game don't bitch.

I know Kyrie is a flat...character,but I must say: she looks sexier than Kat in this pic,and the nasty expression contrasting to her personality in the games just makes it even better XD
Kat,on the other hand,seems like Ninja Theory's annoying girl arquetype. The sad thing is,I believe she's by far more interesting than "Donte",even though they must have some character development for him during the game.Guy is over emotional and stupid,kinda like Nero,but even worse

Kat still seems to have more substance and character than those from previous DMC games, sorry but its pretty obvious especially in DMC 4

I don't expect any more out of her than any other part of the series. Ninja Theory isn't that great at writing. I played Heavenly Sword. Nariko was angry at her clan, then went insane because of the sword. About it, the rest was cliche. Kai was a stereotypical anime cat girl. Many have one even if she isn't anthropamorphic.
I can't find Enslaved so I can't comment on it.
Lady is propably the most complex one so far. She had issues with her dad, obvious reasons, and even with all that hate she still feels the hurt of killing her father. She was practically irellavent other than to get Dante involved in the case he was on that had him in the game to beguin with.
Kat doesn't have enough supstance to measure yet, so it's hard to comment on her. But I don't expect much seeing who writes her material.

Well as someone who has played enslaved i feel that the characters in that especially the bond between the main character and the girl is very well done. and i would agree lady has the most emotional depth out of the rest but still the rest of the DMC female cast have no emotional substance at all. Trish was basic and predictable and just became eye candy in the later game, while i dare not comment on the horror that was Lucia.
And yes we will probably have to see more of Kat to get an idea of how her character acts.

I think that we may have to agree to disagree on something here. Yes Trish was somewhat predictable and I expected more out of her in 4, and Lucia was a let down seeing as she was playable, and I thought Lady would be there more in 4 too. But I expect very little out of Ninja Theory. They have bastardized everything else I liked about Devil May Cry and I'm not impressed with Heavenly Sword's story, and with that mentality that Tameem has, I don't expect this story to move me in much of anyway. In fact I'm expecting a teen-targeted cliche, and for that I expect the charater writing to suffer for it.
I'm not writing Kat all the way off yet, but I don't think she's being handled by a very good team, and that will hurt her.

Oh God in Heaven I hope so. I want the original story to continue. This reboot wouldn't be so bed, but not only has Tameem shot his mouth off and said that the old one was not cool anymore, and in a round about way said that his version was the better one, he slaps his face on the character in effect saying that HE is cooler than the whole of the original series. And Alex Jones has laughed at fans who reacted negatively to the changes, that they should have seen coming, and more or less mocks them anytime he gets a chance.
In the Comic-Con panel where they show the club level, when Tamte (I don't respect that character as Dante and seeing as he looked like Tameem, that's what I call him) punches out the bouncer and wrote "FUCK YOU" on the clipboard, Alex chuckles and says "I got that message more than once". It wasn't that he said it and laugh, it was the way he laughed at it. You can tell that he was laughing at the people who said it. Mockingly. My biggest issue with this thing is that the staff seems to think that fan can be written off as irrelavent and that for all the complaining they will just blindly buy the thing inspite of how they have treated their customers. What bussiness do you know of that mocks its customers AND stays in business?

Don't let them get to you. NT's only attention grabber with this game is the controversy around it. Capcom just lets them because they are all turning in to something that the word jackass would be an understatement for. So in some pathetic hope that the attention alone will turn opinion around, they just keep shooting off their mouths and belittling original fanbase, and in doing so they incourage the new game supporters to act the same way. Just get a tough skin to them and don't let the behaivior of morons drag down your mood. The only realvent reason to keep tabs on this thing is to test the sales numbers once it comes out and make sure they stay really low. There is a ton of talk right now, but the proof will be in the pudding come January.
These guys like to run their mouths alot. And seeing as they can't seem to think of a decent deffence argument, they degenerate to school yard tatics. It's stupid that it is the best they can do, but you shouldn't let it get to you too much.

You were at Gamescom? OH YOU LUCKY (omitted comments)! I've never been to a con ever. I want to play the demo for this so I can guage it for myself. I expect it to be very bad, but I need to know how much. I have an idea for a "Let's Play" I'm gonna call "Let's Riff" for the game, and a demo would help me plot things in my head. and I don't even have to give the game money, my local rental place has "Rent 1 Get 1" weekends alot so I can rent a game I care about, like Mortal Kombat or Metal Gear Rising Revengence, and get DmC for free, so SUCK IT CAPCOM/NINJA THEORY I didn't give you jack for your POS. AND I'm going to rip it a new one in real-time.
