I'm having the same issue in both of the groups that I made. I've affiliated with groups before and suddenly I can'y- BUT I'm a contributor in my friend's group and I have the option there! I'm not sure what's going on but I see that many other people have this issues and someone else in this thread said that they reported it to DA but it was "ignored" because it was a bug and they couldn't do anything about it right now. I hope that's true and it eventually gets fixed... otherwise, we are just kinda stuck.Β

(Randomly came across this and thought even if you've found the answer by now someone else might still ask it)
The affiliation button is found on groups you mod or founded only, not on other peoples' groups. So you can't go to someone's group and hit affiliate, you have to go to your group, click affiliate, then search the other group up.
If you're on your group and it's still not there check to see if you're listed as a mod, and if you are, maybe the founder blocked mods from being able to affiliate. Otherwise I'm not sure.

When the 2 correspondence messages pop up, one showing that it is accepted, this means your Request for Affiliation has been sent to the other group, not that they've accepted it.
If they HAVE accepted it, check the settings (pencil button) of your affiliation widget and make sure "newest" or "random" or a similar setting has been chosen to actually allow the widget to show new affiliations.

Hey, just curious, if a group sends a affiliate to you, but the thing says that 0/3 high ranks have to agree to it, how do you change it to where only one high rank has to agree? (I am the founder of the group)

βRoyalty-FreeβΒ βΊ Just go into your group, go straight to admin area, and click manage members. There, you will be instantly on the founder's permissions. Third dropbox there will be about group affiliations, in which you can edit to your heart's content.

I requested to affiliate with a group, and in my messages it says it was accepted, but my group icon isn't in their Affiliates widget (but it shows the icons of 19 other groups they're affiliated with), and when I tried to install the Affiliates widget in my group, their group icon didn't show up there either...

Quick Question. A recent group we were affiliated with does not like us that much and was wondering how can I unaffiliate with a group if its possible? A simple share with another group got out of hand and we no longer see eye to eye. So it would really help if I knew how to unaffiliate with them
