9x12 Bristol SmoothGraphite Pencils (2H-4B)
This piece took a lot longer than I thought it was going to, but I'm reasonably pleased with the result. Rather than rushing the piece within 8 straight hours of continuous work, I spent an hour or two here and there over the course of 6 days. The dancer is a girl who dances over at The Velvet Hookah out in Dallas, Texas.

wow. i mean seriously. I know others have said it, but I have to repeat: I was sure this was a picture and was wondering why you said it took so longg to do. For a drawing, though,that seems like a pretty short amount of time for something like this! It's absoluely beautiful. Good luck on the contest!

Her stomach is well shaded; to me, it seems to be the most photo-like part of the picture. Not to say everything else doesn't look like a photograph!

Ah, is this one of Isis' girls? I think I might recognise her from Scarborough. Kisa might know... Very well done piece. Gorgeous detail and shading ^.^ The texture is almost visceral on the fur and costuming.
