yeah i saw those line tutorials... but you see my problem is that i can't figure out HOW to make the lineart!!! like i don't know which button to hit and how to do it.. all i know how to do is click and drag/draw with the mouse! >^<

Heheh, Syrian's gone through quite a few overhauls. And I'm finally happy-ish with his current look. I could draw so much better I think though.

I've been drawing for Forever! thanks to my mom encouraging me, but I think I've finally actually started getting good. ^.^
there are characters that have to go through alot of development until you are happy with them. Like zapper [link]

Wow. I've only drawn some of my characters once or twice. I probably draw Syrian the most... But there's still some characters i need to draw..
I've only been drawing for about 7 months or so, mainly because i got stuck in this art/english class, and i started to draw. I was pure crap at first, and i often got upselt with myself. But I've gotten better, yet it still looks like crap. xD

when you're starting out you'll only draw them a couple times and as you get better you'll be drawing them more. ^.^

Well... it was more like, forced drawing, than i was like, "bah, this looks TERRIBLE!! I'm going to learn how to draw better!"
But i never actually "drew" for like 2 months after that.
I was retarded and was recoloring over images, nothing found on DA. I was a Sonic the Hedgehog freak. Majorly. So i had my own characters like the rest of the entire fan-dom, and i wanted to learn how to draw, so i wouldn't get persecuted by youtubes many trolls. XD
It's a retarded story, but its true. Now i have a tablet, and i feel like I can draw... somewhat. Not really.

VERY useful, OMG I'm so grateful for this trick. <3 (Referring to the lineart) The great thing is, I can use this in GIMP, and I've tested it for even pencil-outlined drawings. <333 Nyuuu, thank you so much for posting this tutorial, it'll help my art a LOT.

where can I find the gaussian blur?? I've never heard of it..

do you have photoshop? that would help. >.<
if you do go under the filter menu -> blur -> gaussian blur. than you can adjust the settings to just how much you want it to blur. I like to use this for "field of depth"
