Amazing photo! I really like the composition and how close the head is to the camera. What's causing the blur between the hair though? It adds to the atmosphere but I'm curious where it comes from.

This photo is created using the technique of Focus stacking , which means you take repetative photos of the same composition with the subject a different distance from the lens each time by about half a mm , thus you explore all the focus ranges of the photo and composite them all together into 1 photo using only the sharp areas of the photos.
Thus the blur in the image is simply a gap in the focus that I did not cover well enough due when moving the lens further away from the subject .
