This is something of a companion piece to 12.16.01 [link] . I wanted to have a closeup of one flower to go along with the photo of the whole plant.Postwork - In Adobe Camera RAW: dropped exposure 2 stops, deepened shadows, increased brightness, partial desaturation. In Photoshop: curves and levels, more desaturation in the yellow channel.

I love the colours you achieved with the editing you did in photo shop. I like how you captured the thistle too, the way you set the shot up makes the thistle look so soft and sweet, yet it's barbs hide in the shadows. Lovely shot though a fav. for me
