I'm glad someone finally noticed this was a bit dark. I thought so, and I knew it wasn't just me being too critical of myself. Maybe I should mark stuff "advanced critique encouraged" from now on, because I rarely hear negative comments, and I know my stuff is far from perfect. Thanks alot for giving some good feedback.

No worries, yea I know what you mean, I'm always critical on my work, especially at work
Yea, I thought the comment was constructive, not negative, I should do the same, as I'm always looking to improve,
no worries on the feedback,

I love the mood in this shot, as I always do in your shots. This one somehow brings to my mind, longing and despair. And hunger. Don't ask why the term hunger comes to mind, but it does. Maybe the hunger for light which ties into the despair and longing, don't know. But this is awesome, Steve. Love how you have been doing the landscapes, both in color and this way. Fantastic work. I hope you continue this.

This pic is wonderful. Mysterious, mystical, atmospheric... Mwahahahahaaaaa.... There is an evyil wizard deep in the forest who weaves a spell of alour and confusion to bring stupid people in to feed his beasties... But is he really evyil, or is he culling the dumb people from the herd?
hehe.

This piece has a very sad atmosphere to it... Almost as if it has seen so much death and that the mysteries it hold are sad and wish to be forgotten. Great Compostion and Texture!

I really wasn't feeling lonely when I took this. This place is so cool to visit, and it's located in a really cool little town, you can't help but feel happy when you're there.

well if it was coloured probably
usually shots of nature with bw or sepia tones have some nostalgy inside at least for me

It is pretty amazing. It's a huge nature reserve in Yellow Springs, Ohio. It's quite an interesting town, with lots of cool shops and restaurants to explore. It's also very laid back and lots of hippies live there. I once saw a guy with a foot-long beard sitting on a bench on a street corner, sewing a pair of pants. Definitely a unique place. You practically get a contact buzz from all the pot smoke in the air as you walk around.
And, Antioch University is located there. Maybe you remember about 10 years ago, Antioch made national headlines when they instituted a crazy policy on date rape prevention in which you had to gain permission for every step leading up to intercourse... as in "May I kiss you?", "May I feel your breasts?", "May I take off your jeans?", etc. I don't think anyone ever followed it.

Thats cool, I live in PA so I am close to Ohio. I may have to check that place out.
That college story is funny, I remember hearing about that, talk about taking the passion out of sex!

Cool, it's right off of I-70, not hard to find at all. If you ever decide to make the trip let me know and I'll give you the detailed directions. I might even meet you there and point you toward some of the better scenes. Of course, you can't really go wrong with all the hot college girls around.
