Description
Penguins of Madagascar - Skipper and Hans
THIS WAS A LOT OF EFFORT FOR A JOKE THAT ISN'T EVEN FUNNY.
Oh well, enjoy a Skans comic.

Hans the Puffin is a reoccurring character in the tv-show "Penguins of Madagascar". Honestly one of my favorite villains in the show. He has a LOT of history with Skipper.Β
That said, glad you got a kick out of it, anyway.

Now imagine to Hans making phone pranks to Skipper
Hans "May I speak to Mr. Jass, first name Hugh"

LOL. Β It will be even funnier if Private was the one who picked up the phone, and then repeated it.Β

Hans actually begged to get kicked out with what he said at the end, maybe he should have thought up something else than this XD
But I like it! It's really funny
I'd really like to see a continuation of this, maybe seeing what Skipper thinks of this after he throws Hans out X3
And I imagine that Hans actually wrote something different on the card as what he said~
But really, great work!

I guess, even for him, "sexet stykke rΓΈv" would have been too forward. Oh well, can't blame a puffin for trying.
I DO actually have a follow up idea for this, showing Skipper's reaction. Though, if I do it, it won't be a comic. Just a pic. We'll see if I get around to it.Β
That said, thaaaank you! I'm glad you like it. Β

Yup way too forward, if he would have said this then Skipper probably would have done worse than just kicking him out XDD
Yay, can't wait to see this one, really hope you'll make it~
You're very welcome!

Hans has a second work? I thought that in the first minute and I thought. what a Interesting idea. But then I saw your explanation in the comments below. Poor Hans.
Thats pathetic of him for begging for contact with Skipper. I know why Skipper acted like this but I'm still feel sory for Hans... Poor little puffin
Btw. Well made and good work.

I don't think a puffin can get a job as a delivery boy. That, alone, should have been a bit of a tip that Hans was lying. That said, when I think of Hans and his feelings for Skipper, my brain goes two routes-- "aww, that's so sad" and "LOL! Wouldn't it be funny if Hans was constantly frenemy-zoned?"
The last pic was more of the first, while this comic...weeeeell, let's just say I laughed when I thought up the joke.Β
That said, I'm glad you like it! It was fun making.

You said "I don't think a puffin can get a job as a delivery boy."
Yes, I know ^^ but I treat Hans and the penguins like persons because they have human personalities. So for Me their are humans in animal bodies. And I know what you have in mind, when you say about "brain going in two routes". I have the same with Hans. Its propalby very visible in my comments.

Well, now we know Hans has a thing for fluffy penguin butt. Gooood to know.
And thank you! The last one was my favorite, too. Mostly because I think it showed my Disney influences. Plus...wide eyed expressions are just fun to do!

wow! what a beautiful comic,
I see all the effort you pay on this,
I am very enjoy this and love it,
love the background.expressions(especially when Hans said"Don't being rude").plot(although I still not sure who send Skipper the flower exactly*-*)

Thank you! Took a couple days, which is a lot longer for me, but it was well worth it in the end. And I'm especially glad you like it!
As for who sent the flowers...Hans was lying about the job. It was all a scheme for Hans to give Skipper the flowers from himself. You see, yellow roses with red tips symbolize falling in love. Hans is just trying to get closer to the penguin-- see him-- because he has feelings for him. Skipper, most likely, could read through his lies. Though, ultimately, he kicked the puffin out of his home because of the name. XD

awaww, this is well-planned and so sweet
especially theΒ meaningΒ of rose's color, did Skipper also knew this meaning?
π: 0 β©: 1
DarkwingSnark In reply to LeoKatana [2013-11-22 04:55:02 +0000 UTC]
I imagine he didn't. Mostly because he doesn't seem the type to know much about flowers. But, seeing as I think Skipper kept the flowers...Private or Kowalski might see them and know the meaning behind them.Β

even I don't know the meaning of it XD
hope Private and Kowalski will tell him, and I would so wondering what's his reaction to this

Yeah, but he seems to be the only one who uses the word "booty" for just about everything.
Hehe, Hans working for the economy. How contradictory...

DarkwingSnark In reply to joshpro8423 [2013-11-22 15:31:41 +0000 UTC]
I'm sure Hans was just going for the rhyme. "Wootie" and "Booty". He seems to have a lyrical quality to how he chooses his phrases.
Hans is a working puffin-- he ain't need no man to take care of him. Mmm-hmm.
That, and he's also a liar face. So...ya know, he was telling a bold-face lie just to see and deliver flowers to Skipper. As one does.Β

I notice he kept the flowers, though
The bold outlines, the detailed backgrounds, even the speech bubbles and panel placement, they all look incredible and professional. Only you can really say if the effort was worth it, but from my POV, it certainly was.

DarkwingSnark In reply to FlytrapDog [2013-11-22 01:40:31 +0000 UTC]
Those were some nice flowers. Who WOULDN'T keep them?
In all honesty, as much as I've been griping about the length of time this took...I'm pretty proud of this. You know me, i don't DO comics. Comics and I don't go together because they ARE hard for me. But I tried. I tried very hard. Heck, I actually read and followed my "How to Draw Comics the Marvel Way" book to figure out how to do the layout. It was a lot of effort, and some moment I felt like I was going crazy...BUT DAMMIT-- It feels good to look at something that took effort and is actually GOOD. It's all me. No cheating, no cutting corners. Everything was thought out, researched. Even what KIND of flowers I used. Just...EFFORT!
Still sticking to the fact only i'll think the joke is funny, though. And even then, it stopped being funny by the time I was finished. Oh well.Β
That said, thank you wifey. You're far too kind with your words. Β
