XD thanks, yah I know what you mean, boys' hair being so short -_- you have to be so much more exact with it!

And there's really only so much you can do with short hair, especially when it's not gelled or anything.
I tend to make my boy's have not too short hair, long enough to have bangs and sideburns but not enough to look girly. Most of the time.
I'm working on how to draw crew cuts and my one Spy character has longer hair.

Ahhh, the anime drawing phase. Do we all really go through it? xD I remember going through that phase(though apparently, my art still looks it. Maybe it does, but I just don't see it). It's the best when you get out of that phase and look back years later at how bad you've drawn. Haha.
This tutorial is awesome. Thank you for making it. I really hate it when people draw hair as if it was carved out of plastic, or even better, when it looks like the character has flat, thin hair. It's much more fun drawing messy hair, amirite?

After reading this tutorial, not only did I know more about hair, but I also am glad to know that I'm not the only one who was able to snap out of the anime phase. My gallery has probably been silently ridiculed many times because of that short period.
This inspires me... lets me know that someone who once drew god-awful anime can actually draw decently eventually.
