Description "Bravo, Monsieur! Such spirited words! Let's see, Monsieur, how far you dare go!"

So apparently I can't stick to the drawings that I need to do, or the drawings requested of me. There's just been an explosion of inspiration lately, and you all will be seeing the outcome of that in the near future. I hope you all don't mind the current stop to requests... I'll be getting back on track shortly.

Enjoy, and please comment!

This is so awesome! xD I love this scene in the play. It's just so intense, and you portrayed it well. This is just so amazing!

thanks! I was thinking of doing a more emotional "wandering child" picture with Christine, but it turned into a cool fireball spitting pic. glad you enjoyed!

I love it! My favorite scene. I was rather disappointed with the movie, having the sword fight instead of this. The Vegas version of this is awesome. They have the fireworks and then at the end a real wall of flames come up. I laughed when I saw the movie.... Great job

thanks! It's one of mine as well.

For me, it was the other way around! I was dissapointed that the show didn't have a sword fight scene at first... of course when I saw the show the second time, I was convinced fire balls were a million times better than swords. But we gotta give Joel and the others a break-- perhaps fire balls wouldn't have been very cinematic.

yes, I agree. I mostly miss the dialogue in that scene. I love Erik's lines in there. He defiantly was taunting Raoul. My favorite thing in that scene was his hat. I love that hat. Actually, I've tried on Howard's before. That was fun. (In case you didn't know Howard is the Broadway Phantom.) That hat and Christine's cape are my favorite clothing items in the show...

I agree! Swordfight was good in the movie... but why did they cut out the awesome diologue? I felt like the whole swordfight scene was rushed. They could've had a bit where they shout stuff at each other while they fight for pity's sake...

wait-- you tried on Howard's hat? How?

Soccerfan217 In reply to DarthxErik [2009-05-04 23:38:25 +0000 UTC]

I agree, the sword fight wasn't bad, but the dialogue was one of the best parts! I love it when whoever plays the Phantom shouts "That's right, that's right keep walking this way!" and then Raoul shouts "You can't earn her love by making her your prisoner!"

Well, my friend Casey is best friends with Howard, so that makes me friends with Howard, so we go backstage or whatever and go into the prop room, Howard and Tim's dressing room. That sort of thing.

Yeah, I know. Being friends with the cast (and the stage manager) does help. Trust me, Howard may be a great guy but he's a drama queen. Have you seen POTO on Broadway?

DarthxErik In reply to Soccerfan217 [2009-05-05 00:25:49 +0000 UTC]

No, I haven't! Not in New York... But I hope to someday.

Drama Queen? how so?

So I take it you live in NY? Lucky!!

Soccerfan217 In reply to DarthxErik [2009-05-05 00:30:21 +0000 UTC]

NY is great. You would really like it there.

Well, Howard likes to act and tease us and stuff. An example is a little while ago he came into his dressing room and he looked really sad or whatever. We asked what was wrong and he said that he couldn't resign his contract. He almost started to cry and then he laughed. We asked why he was laughing and he told us he did get his contract resigned.

Actually, I love in Canada now. I moved from NY a couple of years ago. But I go there constantly. It's not a very far drive. A couple of hours at the most.

yeah... it's one of my dreams to visit.

sounds like a fun guy. You should tell him not to abuse his powers of acting like that!

Oh, I see. That's cool!

Soccerfan217 In reply to DarthxErik [2009-05-05 01:59:35 +0000 UTC]

I can imagine, NY doesn't get boring but it can get annoying when you live there. Visiting is the best option.

Yes, well, Howard would never listen to us. Though we did get him back for it. We tie dyed his shirt-not his stage one, but his real one. He crossed his arms, glared at us then pointed for us to get out of his dressing room. We did it when he was changing for the red death scene. Tim helped...

Tim who, may I ask? I thought John Cudia was on the national tour!

Soccerfan217 In reply to DarthxErik [2009-05-05 23:11:10 +0000 UTC]

Tim Martin Gleason. He plays Raoul right now. I have no idea what happened to Mr Cudia, his contract probably ran out. But don't worry, Tim's really good as Erik. He's read the original too I believe. Casey and I read them the original so they could understand where their characters have come from.

DarthxErik In reply to Soccerfan217 [2009-05-05 23:15:04 +0000 UTC]

noooo. I loved Cudia. -weep- I wonder what he's going to do now?

Doesn't mean Tim won't do amazing, I just have never heard him/of him. Perhaps someday I'll see the US tour again! (with him in it, of course.)

That's awesome! Indoctrinate them!!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Soccerfan217 In reply to DarthxErik [2009-05-05 23:28:21 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I've never heard Cudia live but I hear he's amazing. You should really try to see the tour again with Tim in it. I think he's better as Erik then as Raoul. I mean, he's not my favorite Phantom but he's good. My favorite Phantoms are 1. Anthony Crivello (the Vegas Phantom.) 2. Michael Crawford 3 Ted Keegan and 4. Howard.
Tim comes in 5th though!

Soccerfan217 In reply to DarthxErik [2009-05-06 02:26:40 +0000 UTC]

Aw, that's too bad. If it's any consolation it never comes up to Canada. I hate that. I want to see it here someday. When did you see it? And who was the Phantom?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

DarthxErik In reply to Soccerfan217 [2009-05-06 15:47:05 +0000 UTC]

Oh, I've seen it three times so far, and John Cudia played the Phantom when I saw it nearly two years ago. Phantoms like him make me bawl my eyes out. The other two times I saw understudies... not *quite* as good, but still good.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Soccerfan217 In reply to DarthxErik [2009-05-06 18:14:16 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I've seen it so many times and I still cry at the end. It's kind of pathetic. I don't really like understudies or alternates. They're good but no that good. Kind of disappointing...

Congrats on winning the contest by the way!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

DarthxErik In reply to Soccerfan217 [2009-05-06 21:37:36 +0000 UTC]

yah... this last time I couldn't cry cause the understudy whined a lot... real bad actor.

Oh, thanks!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Soccerfan217 In reply to DarthxErik [2009-05-06 22:03:09 +0000 UTC]

Ha ha, I had the alternate for Christine one night and I was kind of like "Wait, where's Kristi? And what did Kristen just say?" (That was in Vegas by the way.) Then, I had the understudy for the Vegas Phantom and I had to cover my ears in the "You alone can make my song take flight." part. It was pretty bad...

DarthxErik In reply to Soccerfan217 [2009-05-07 19:24:33 +0000 UTC]

yah... understudies... I felt bad because I saw it with my friend who was dying to see phantom for her first time... kinda ruined the "experience"!

Soccerfan217 In reply to DarthxErik [2009-05-07 21:32:27 +0000 UTC]

I know. I may be friends (not very good friends at that.) with the understudies, but that doesn't change my opinion about their acting skills.

Sorry about your friend. Same thing happened to me in Vegas. I took 2 friends there and the alternate Christine was on. But it was the only day Anthony was there...

I agree, I can't believe that Christine dies in the end! To hell with Pierre! I love those little Erik/Christine moments. And like Erik would ever rape her! He's a perfect gentleman! And I hear that Mme Giry is going to be the villain! As if!

DarthxErik In reply to Soccerfan217 [2009-05-11 21:50:08 +0000 UTC]

I agree! It's atrocious to think that the characters could do such things...

I'm going to make a comic about it.

Soccerfan217 In reply to DarthxErik [2009-05-11 22:14:19 +0000 UTC]

I know. In Leroux's book Darius was simply The Persian/Daroga's servant. How did he come from a servant to a villain? This is worse than most fanfictions I've read! At least they give the characters personalities!

A comic would be awesome...I can just imagine it...

Oh, thanks to you I watched the 1990 version of Phantom and loved it! I felt so bad for Erik! But I laughed so hard at the line "My God, this place really is haunted. What is that?" and when he says "Sorry, killing someone just threw me off a bit." That whole part almost made me fall out of my chair! I love Charles Dance! He was amazing. The whole move was spectacular!

Soccerfan217 In reply to DarthxErik [2009-05-12 00:29:53 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I think that it's my 2nd favorite film. There are some that I haven't seen though. Like the Claude Rains one. Actually, there are very few that I haven't seen. I hated the Enguld version, the plot seemed passable but the actual movie-Ugh, I hate blood and gore and that's practically all there was!

The one thing about Erik's sense of humor is that he's either being sarcastic or being dead serious. Either way I find it quite funny...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

DarthxErik In reply to Soccerfan217 [2009-05-12 22:06:57 +0000 UTC]

The Claude Rains one was pretty good, but a little dumb sometimes. Still-- very clean and interesting.

I agree! he's just so pleasant most of the time...

Soccerfan217 In reply to DarthxErik [2009-05-12 23:21:34 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, have you seen the Argentino version? I hated that one! It was horrible! I can't believe Erik stuffs a rat down his pants! A rat!

Yeah, I love where he addresses his father and he says "From now on she is all I need." I love Mr Dance's accent. Although it's supposed to take place in France and his accent is english...I digress.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

DarthxErik In reply to Soccerfan217 [2009-05-13 17:31:26 +0000 UTC]

no, not really! I've heard about it though. It sounded too horrible to even watch.

It's funny, because his accent is more "american" than anything. the way he says "can't" is SO american.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Soccerfan217 In reply to DarthxErik [2009-05-13 18:00:22 +0000 UTC]

It is horrible, I felt sick after watching it. How could they make something like that? I never wish to see something like that again. And the Enguld version made me have nightmares for a month, seriously. I hated that version.

Ha ha,yeah. I think that Terri Polo was really pretty in the movie I can't believe she was like..15 in the movie? Something like that anyway, And I just found out something hilarious. The man who played Gerard was in the movie Sorry Wrong Number that my performing arts teacher showed me! I laughed at that...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

DarthxErik In reply to Soccerfan217 [2009-05-13 19:22:05 +0000 UTC]

15? really! that's interesting! Well, Emmy rossum was only 16... that makes me feel like i've done nothing in life yet. no jk.

i love it when phantomy stuff like that happens. Actually-- the Gerard guy is a really famous actor. It's like saying harrison ford, only he's much older, of course.

Soccerfan217 In reply to DarthxErik [2009-05-13 20:14:19 +0000 UTC]

Ha ha, I know I'm only 13 but I feel like I have accomplished nothing...yet. I'll do something someday!

Yeah, the guy is really famous. He dies 6 years after the Phantom movie came out though. but he was a really good actor in sorry Wrong Number. That movie was made in 1947, it was back and white. I liked it a lot. Actually, we've watched a ton of movies in P.A we watched Phantom in November (my first Phantom experiance and the reason I went to see the play.) The Music Man and Sorry Wrong number...
