Description
"Bravo, Monsieur! Such spirited words! Let's see, Monsieur, how far you dare go!"So apparently I can't stick to the drawings that I need to do, or the drawings requested of me. There's just been an explosion of inspiration lately, and you all will be seeing the outcome of that in the near future. I hope you all don't mind the current stop to requests... I'll be getting back on track shortly.
Enjoy, and please comment!

Yeah, I travel a lot already. I`ve been to Vegas twice in the bast 6 months, I travel to Edmonton often and I go to Ontario every summer (it`s a 24 hour drive.) The only reason I really draw is to let out stress and because I`ve been doing it for so long. My dad`s an art teacher at the local high school...

how cool. and with all that help from the pros I'm sure it'd be relatively easy for you to get into the loop. I have no connections! ha ha.
cool! I've been drawing for so long... can't even remember when I began.

Yeah, but connections don`t guarantee you a spot on Broadway, it helps but still...besides Howard and Tim are leaving! John Cudia is taking Howard`s place because Tim`s taking his place...I still get to go backstage and stuff of course, I`ve made friends with the other cast but still...it won`t be the same.
Yeah, my dad loves to sketch and stuff so I`ve been doing it for a while. One of my most vivid memories is walking into his room while he was painting and him screaming at me to get out, all because he couldn`t get the skates right...

true, so true! But it helps, I'm sure.
Oh, no kidding! that's sad... what's Howard going to do now?
Well, John Cudia is really good! It won't be a bore watching him/chatting with him. Like I said, he's one of my favorites...

Howard has no idea. His agent is trying to set up a ton of interviews...outside of NY. That hurts, I'll miss him. The only good thing really is that it's Mr Cudia and not someone unpleasant, oh, and Jenifer Hope Willis is coming back from maternity leave on June 1st! I missed her, it'll be good to have her back.
Yeah, he was painting a picture of two hockey players from our town that play in the NHL on a rink here. He taught both of them so...yeah, It took him a year and a half to finish that picture. Now a print of it is in the mayor's office. My dad used to work on city council so he's a good friend of the mayor's. When we were in Vegas we went out for supper with him every night. That was fun.

ha ha, yeah I understood, don't worry, I'm not that dull. What's John like? I hear that he's amazing. But you never know. Lots of people like Colm Wilkinson but I don't think that he's that great. Who are your favorite Phantoms? Mine are, 1) Anthony Crivello. 2) Ted Keegan 3)Michael Crawford 4) John Owen Jones and 5) Howard ha ha, yeah, Howard's disappointed with me...

DarthxErik In reply to Soccerfan217 [2009-05-16 13:53:47 +0000 UTC]
oh, John... hmm. What impresses me most is his acting, but I don't really know who to compare him to. I'll admit I haven't heard a lot of the phantoms you're mentioning (although I've heard of them...) Perhaps I'll look them up. Anyway, when I saw John two years ago, I still remember that it's like you're seeing the phantom. He gets so into character!
John's voice is just-- rich and amazing. Sometimes his higher notes sound a bit forced, but eh. I like him because his voice doesn't ever bother me. Some singers just don't sound pleasant, you know? John is just great.
Hmm. Really, I only have a few favorites, and they're not in any particular order:
Gary Maeur, John Cudia, Michael Crawford, John Owen Jones, Anthony Warlow. (to tell you the truth, I hated Colm Wilkinson as the Phantom! As Jean Valjean, he's perfect. But as the Phantom? no, no, no...)

Soccerfan217 In reply to DarthxErik [2009-05-16 16:23:41 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, Tony (Anthony Crivello) impresses me the most with his way to convey his feelings on stage, his body language and such are amazing, every time I see him live (3 times) I always cried at the end. I love his voice too. In the Music of the night when he has to sing that really high Be, he kind of pronounces it like bay. But it still sounds amazing. You could actually think that he was the Phantom on that stage...not so much backstage but he's still a great guy. He's actually won a Tony award before, for The Kiss of the Spider Woman. I've heard a few songs from that play but I've never seen it. And Tony won't show me anything. Actually, Howard did the Original cast recording for that play instead of Anthony. Howard was the understudy...
Yeah, I hated Colm as the Phantom too. His voice just isn't smooth enough to be the Phantom's. He was pretty good as Valjean though. I like JOJ better though. I love his One Day More. I've never seen the full play, only clips. But I have the book. So I know what goes on. I like Michael Ball when he sings 'Empty Chairs at Empty Tables.' he was amazing in that...

yeah, there's a ton of videos on youtube of Tony, I love his final lair scene. In it they have a cage instead of the lasso that Andrew (Raoul) gets trapped in. It's really cool! And hilarious because the cage comes up from the floor and if he made one wrong move he could get a limb cut off. And their idea of security is having a little white x on the floor (that's peeling off.) with a security camera trained on it XD
Yeah, Colm does. I can't believe he was the original Canadian Phantom, it's disappointing...

Andrew: "well heck yes, it's dangerous, but so is everything else in the show. If the phantom can sit atop a statue 100 feet above the ground, so can Raoul. We just have to have the cage. So what if we risk a few lives? We all have to make sacrifices in the business." (he didn't actually say this, but I can just imagine it... )

Yeah, I know, the Vegas show is only 95 minutes. The effects are amazing though, the chandelier in particular. But after wandering child there's a flame wall that comes up, it's awesome, not to mention the great actors!
Ha ha, I can imagine him saying that. "We can afford to [ay the insurance for the cage so why not? I couldn't afford it at the beginning because Phantom wasn't up yet, but now, 21 years and 99 billion dollars later, I think we can afford it, it's worth it if we make more money-hey! Actually, I really like that musical! If it's done right, it's really cute. Yeah, they are a little weird like with the goat and the phones and Joseph getting his clothes and stuff ripped off...yeah. But if you frow up on something you don't notice the little things. Like, for about 8 years I was in love with Scooby Doo and I never saw anything in there that would make other people think it was weird, I still like it by the way, not obsessed with it like I used to be though...

Yeah, it's difficult having friends that don't believe in the same things you do. They ignore me if I start talking about God or whatever and they treat church and chapel as the bane of their existance-I love it though! Most of them just refuse to believe in His existance and don't hate him like some people...
I hope my parents get more religious! It makes all of this kind of hard...
I love camp. We have so much fun there! I go for 6 days a week and go to chapel an hour each day and we have devotions every night. And we do various things for the rest of the day. I love it! I love getting together with all the other worshipers and I have really close relationships with all my past councilers and friends....

so true... but remember it's not as much about the "religion" as it is the relationship with Jesus, right?

sorry it took a while to reply. My birthday's coming up and I've been planning a Phantom party of course. My friends may not like it but that's what it's going to be...
Thanks, I'll remember to note you if I need a prayer. Life is going good right now. Well, I have finals and stuff coming up but that's about it. I just need to study a bit extra in math (I hate math with a passion!)
Right, thanks for reminding me, it's starting to rub off on me! The sad thing is that there is almost no one in our school that goes to church so I'm growing up in an athiest or agnostic society...
Well, I love almost any type of worship music. I only have a few favorite songs. Have you ever heard of the sing "For God has not given us the Spirit of Fear."? That's a good one another one I love is I will not be shaken!" and "God is a good God.", "Lord I lift your name on high" and "My God is an awesome God!" We play a lot of worship music at camp. I still listen to it when I can. I love those songs-they mean a ton to me. They have helped connect me with God more than anything else I believe. They showed me how much God does love us-the message through them anyway.

same here... I love those songs! Well, some of them don't ring a bell, but then again, my church doesn't pull out too many hymns every week. We play stuff like Hillsong United, Chris Tomlin or David Crowder. You ever heard their music? If you haven't, I highly recommend it! I like worship that's pretty modern but powerful-- stuff that'll make your heart thump and make you want to sing at the top of your lungs. But everyone has their own tastes. Yeah, some people have it really bad. I pray for them everyday and hope that their lives get better soon...
Yup, the world's getting worse everyday. With all these wars and stuff like that it's a miracle we haven't died out yet I think....
Yeah, at chapel we spend a ton of time singing. In fact, every night there is a different activity at camp and one of them is called TBA-no not to be announced. It's called the Bible is awesome! We spend an hour just singing and listening to the band play. It's on of the best nights at camp. And at campfire we sing songs too. We always have fun doing that. The campfire is always amazing-I love it. I've never heard of those people before-thanks for introducing me to them!

Wow, you're lucky! My uncle signed me up for vocal lessons for my birthday today. He phoned and he was like "Guess what I got for you!" And I asked him what and he told me that he signed me up. Talk about a present!
It's about this man, Cyrano, he has a very long nose and gets shunned by society, this was in the 1800s. He's in the army and it turns out that he lovess his cousin-Roxanne. But his cousin loves another man named Christian. In the end Christian gets shot and died, the Roxanne goes and lives in a nunnery. Then, Cyrano gets a brick dropped on his head and dies. It was tragic.
When I was in grade 4 we had to read the Hamlet script. Then, I read Romeo and Julliet and last year we read Much ado anout nothing.
For Operas I have heard songs from Faust-like the Jewel song. I can sing a bit of it too...

yay! that's awesome!
aw, yes! I've heard about that story. First a man without a nose and now a man with too long of a nose.
Shakespeare is just awesome once you get into it... I'm going to visit the globe theater (where most of his plays were originally performed...) in England in a few weeks!
Yes, I love that song. I really want to see Faust someday...

I know. I don't start until September though.
Ha ha, yeah. My cousin played the cousin, Roxanne in that play last year. She's a really good actor. But she's becoming a nurse instead of an actress.
Lucky! I want to see the globe! My cousin went last summer and took pictures. It was amazing!I hope you enjoy your trip to England. I really want to go someday.
I do too...
