Description
I drew the sketch for this while in Europe, not long after seeing Ramin Karimloo and Gina Beck perform "Phantom" in London. I guess you could say I was inspired!"Past the point of no return
No backward glances
Our games of make-believe are at an end...
Past all thought of "if" or "when"
No use resisting
Abandon thought and let the dream descend..."
This is one of my absolute favorite songs from the show (next to "Music of the Night" and "Final Lair"... goodness, it's so hard to choose, but I finally decided that those are my favorites.)
Anyway. If you do comment, why not tell me what your favorite song is from the show? Is it the sumptuously romantic "All I Ask of You" or the beautifully inspiring "Think of Me"? Or is it one of the lesser-known tracks like "Wandering Child"? Give me your thoughts! I always like to hear them.

Yay! Those are my two favorites. Final Lair is my favorite scene... but probably not my favorite song. I just noticed the difference.
Thanks! I will try... life needs to slow down!
YAYYY! No, please, do tell me when things like that happen! I'm so excited for you. John Cudia is AMAZING. I hope you get him.

It's kind of a tie between "Music of the Night" and "The Point of No Return", but I think "Music of the Night" edges out just a little bit. I love this picture!!!!!

I think it's because it's "Erik's song", you know? "Point of No Return" is lovely and passionate, but doesn't really sum up Erik and Christine's relationship. Theirs is more than just desire... it's deeper than that.
Aw, thanks!

Wandering Child takes my first place spot. I love it so much because it's like the Phantom's last effort to have Christine come by will (sorta). With all the characters singing together it just makes it a lovely song.

Ah, this was my favorite scene of the show! (No, Final Lair takes the cake.) But really.
So, favorite SCENES: POTN/FL
Favorite SONGS: MOTN/Wandering Child
I loved this scene because I didn't know how it was performed in the stage version. I don't like it in the movie, for whatever reason, but I love how the stage version is really sensual without being crassly so. Like, just the way you can only see the Phantom's hands and stuff. It's a brilliant scene. Everything else, I already knew somewhat how it went down. But that was a pleasant surprise.
And my favorite version of "Wandering Child" is the one on the OBC. I'm not entirely sure, but I think they no longer do Raoul's interjections in the play, and that is a DARN SHAME, because that's the reason it's my favorite. I love multiple parts going on at one time.

ha ha. Thanks!!
Those are awesome scenes, awesome songs. Some of my absolute favorites!
The same happened to me. I SO prefer the stage version over the movie now that I've seen it several times... it's so GENIUS and PERFECT.
The don't do the trio on broadway or any other place except for London. When I saw it in London they did the trio and it gave me chills...

Beautiful drawing! I just love Christine's expression and also the thick eyelashes you gave her! I'm jealous of her eyelashes! I love the colors and texture you picked. I keep wondering about Erik's expression under his cloak...hmmmm
My favorite PotO song is definitely Point of No Return. It's passionate and emotional. Erik reveals his feelings, his intentions. There is also darkness in that song. Another one I love is Masquerade. I loved that scene in the 2004 movie and I'm looking forward to see it in the stage version for the first time on September 19.

I don't know why, but when I saw the words "No Use Resisting" I immediately thought of Music of the Night.
A favorite song is tough to choose...
1. Final Lair/Down Once More - Just has so much emotion though. I love it and the singing with Raoul tied to the portcullis
2. Past the Point of No Return - It just has so much passion and emotion in it that it's hard *not* to get swept up in it.
3. Music of the Night - We played this in band in middle school. Naturally, it was horrible, but I still love the song. It's so sweet and vaguely haunting.
4. Masquerade - This scene was the scene that got me interested in the first place because of the catchy tune and shiny costumes. Plus, it's the song the monkey box plays.
5. Think of Me - Mostly just because of the ridiculous thing she does with her voice. ^_^
6. The Overture - It always gets me so excited for Phantom. <3
7. All I Ask Of You - The Phantom singing it makes me cry - it's so emotional.
^_^; By the way, the picture's lovely. I like the expression on Christine's face. Why is she holding an apple?

Well-- both songs have lyrics to that effect...
Well, your top three favorite songs are my top three, so kudos to you!
Thanks. Well-- the apple is a prop they use in the stage version. I'm not sure at what point this picture takes place in the song, because the part where they're right up against each other comes later in the song, when she no longer has the apple-- but I guess I liked how the apple looked and I kept it in.

amazing job! your colouring never fails to amaze me, I'm still wondering how you manage to colour it like that! XD
I'm not sure what my favorite song would be, as I've never been able to (and probably never will) see phantom on broadway, but if it's like the movie, I'd say either masquerade or notes (because I find notes hilarious for some reason. XD).

Wow, this is fantastic. I love all the little details on the dress, and the folds in the cape are very well done.
My favorite song, oh goodness... the Final Lair (Down Once More/Track Down This Murderer) takes the top spot I think. Second is Music of the Night, and Wandering Child and the Overture are tied for third.
...that took about twelve minutes to decide. That's just sad haha.
