The comment proceeding this one is highly creepy, and im not even gonna respon to him because its probably a troll waiting for someone to fall into his trap, but seriously borg maybe be highly efficent but they lack creativity the borg cant think for themselves, and that is their biggest flaw...

Actually VERY futile!
The Borg had assimilated countless of races, some FAR more advanced than Humans in no matter what time index.
Sadly the Bord were "wussyfied" tremendously.
The ONLY species that could stand up to them was species 8472.
And this because of their extremely advanced bio-mechanism, which was superior and totally resistant to Borg nanoprobe infestation.
Their immune system broke the nanoprobes down.
When J. L. Picard was assimilated (and later recovered by the humans) his knowledge was copied into the Borg Collective Hive Mind, gaining them even more tactical advantage over the silly, pathetic Humans.
Why the Borg were even interested in such simpleton inferior race in the first place, is beyond me, but the Humans even bringing a decent blow to the borg is simply wishful thinking.
Of all the "evil" races ever invented by us, the Borg are one of the most resilient and overpowering factions.
Note the " " around the word evil, since they ARE not evil, their intentions are very noble: bringing perfection through assimilation to the rest of the galaxy and themselves.
Considering they are "bound" by emotion-deprived thoughts, they cannot really care about their methods, which are actually very tech-explainable.
It would be a logical decission to force assimilation on the "lesser ones", ignoring whatever objection, since those objections come from inferior races that simply cannot understand just what the borg offer.
Their puny minds will grasp the concept, and finally learn to even embrace it, through the process of assimilation.
Think of the so many seperated from the Collective Hive Mind, requesting, hungering to return to that super mind.
Not to mention the share technological featurs they have: regenerating ships, adaptation, assimilation, hyper-warp drives, time warp drives, Cube ships up to five by five by five kilometers, housing up to 130 THOUSAND Drones, they can transfer between ships in packs of a staggering 500 drones simultaneously, they got a massive aray of beam weapons, missile weapons, "surgical" beams as I call them to cut ships up, for assimilation purposes, virtually unlimited energy systems, a Transwarp gateway system allowing them to go vast amounts of space in no time, you name it.
On top, they have an incredible knowledge of technology, overcoming any ships tech by using probes to crack down their defensive/offensive/control systems.
One Cube could take on entire FLEETS, by it's own, and manage to outcome the battle as sole survivor, which happened on a few occasions (think of the Battle of Wolf 359, as prime example).
And there were MANY of them.
Trust me, in NO WAY EVER (except by Gods personal intervention, and maybe HE would become assimilated, ROFL) we could stand a chance...
simply because "it is futile...".

This is a splendid recreation of a scene of the battle between the Federation and the Borg.

Only the distance between the Chariot and the Borg-Cube seems a bit small for my taste. otherwise excellent

I was going to say the Diligent looks like a beefier Akira class star ship, rather than a souped up Defiant.
Brilliant work.

Thank you.
Yeah, it's more like the Akira in shape but it's a small ship like the Defiant.

When the Borg first attacked, 39/40 ships were lost...First contact saw 30/60 lost, now 3 stand a pretty good chance...awesome

Or let them run into Harebell and the Clonies (as they'd just done in Lil' DMC 159)
Awesome image

Hit 'em hard and fast, keep them from adapting. Who knows how long the new stuff can last against them.
I hope these three are the equivalent of a thousand starships.

No, not a thousand. The Diligent is like a souped-up Defiant, the next model in the small-yet-powerful attack ship. The Chariot is... it is what it is And the Galaxy Dreadnought is the ultimate fighting machine

Awesome pic Dave. I've heard the Diligent name before, who designed it, and came up with the name?

Love it when the DILIGENT gets featured. One of my favs...and a fun one to develop for ASR. Medjai did an absolutely wonderful job converting the my 2Ds into these fantastic 3Ds.

Yup...v7 or 8 became the final design for the DILIGENT model. Medjai was able to really bring her to life.
