Personally, I think it would be awesome if they redid the effects to some of the movies as well. I'm not sure what all they did in the TMP Director's Cut other than change the Vulcan scenery, but the disappearance of the Klingon Ships and Epsilon 9 could be done better. And I won't even get started on the effects in Star Trek V...

Most of the 1701 shots were replaced by CGI in TMP. As for ST:TFF, I kinda like the effects as they are almost exactly as the TOS effects. Kinda retro style
