This is my favorite image of your gallery. i remember seeing it first PhotoMagazine(Romanian magazine) and thinking how emotive and somehow lifelike that hand was. And the balance of the shot and the clear lines are so characteristic of you all your shots. I must say i really love your style and your knack for animating the inanimate.

Sometimes, looking at the children I pass on the street, I keep thinking "If youth are the future of the nation(s), then we're all pretty much screwed..."

Wow. I, too, am scared of disturbing the balance, half-expecting the marble ball to roll of hand's finger. As a whole, everything seems so fragile.

i x-ray people at a hospital, and i see all sorts of patients.
i usually encounter the elderly patients, and its always dificult to watch them struggle in their own little world which seems full of confusion and chaos.
I sometimes watch them and it just seems like the rest of the world twirls around them so fast that their just forgotten shadows, sometimes coming into focus for our momentary attention but then blurring out again soon after.
this picture reminds me of one such patient. she had a mountain of troubles, hip problems, liver problems, knee problems, brain problems... and i thought what hope is there for her to grab onto...
it was her husband... they way she clung onto her husband. they way they smiled the same way. they way her old fragile hand looked, still clinging on tight to her only hope.
this shot is a great one, and i'll remember it for a long time.

the reflection really makes this one so much better. i like how the ball is just teetering on the model hands finger. i keep expecting it to roll off the finger any minute. but it hasn't yet.

Its perfect. Absolutely perfect. I especially love the reflection (I guess I just have a thing for reflections), and the vibrancy of the blue is killer. It makes me want to hold my breath for fear of breathing too hard and upsetting the balance the hand is maintaining. Beautiful.

Ahhhhhhh, wonderfull exspresion.
I see a few things in this shot. First i saw the hand of God watching over us, what gives me a weird feeling as im not a belever...
When i looked again i saw that we are the hand, and that we should never give up hope even if it balances on our fingertips and might fall...
And then again i see that we are the blue ball and that hope is what keeps us up and going....

Amazing shot Dave. I love how the mirror softens the reflection of the hand and the way the blue of the marble stands out. Such a clean shot, excellent stuff.
In the reflection of the marble, there's a white spot on the top of the marble (bottom of the reflected image). It sort of grabbed my eye, and bugs me a little, but I'm guessing that's just a highlight? I don't see it on the actual marble though. I don't know.
Really awesome shot. You can see this so many ways - to me, I see the balance and what a huge impact we have on our world. I can also imagine it's as if someone reached out to catch the tears of a worried and uncertain future - a tender gesture.

The mechanical hand fits so perfectly with this concept.
There is much to read in this image, right down to the most minute textures captured so carefully on every surface it sends chills down my spine.

i really like the impression given by the reflection more than the actual image in some ways, though stunning as it is,
the reflection along with ur few words seems to feel like when hope is almost breaking, but it's still there, well thats just my two cents
