In my head-notes, Scarlet was designed to be a bouncer-like character, so there's probably some enhanced Strength and Agility to go with her attitude.  She won't be bench pressing elephants anytime soon though.

I'm almost positive that Vulpes Vulpes is the species of the Red Fox, which is definately Canis Lupus, the wolf. Then dogs are another kind of Canis, but I forget which ones...

Foxes (genus Vulpes) and dogs/wolves (genus Canis) are all in the family Canidae and are considered canids.
