Description
A restored A6M2 Model 21 Zero fighter with a 1:1 scale reproduction K5Y 'Willow' trainer overhead. These are on display at the Kawaguchiko Fighter Museum in Kawaguchiko, Shizuoka Prefecture. The collection, essentially a millionaire's private plane garage he opens to the public in August, has a Nakajima Ki-43 'Oscar' (Army Type 1) fighter, a skeletal Zero, an A6M2 Model 21, an A6M5 Model 52, a restored G4M Betty fuselage (minus wings), a replica Yokosuka K5Y 'Willow' trainer biplane, a replica MXY7Ohka manned rocket plus a few mid-century fighter jets and helos. This is next to the classic car museum, also open only inΒ August, and a separate ticket but worth it. No real cameras allow, cell phones only.

That's a pretty good shot for a cellphone!!
I just happen to be reading a book about the Kamikazes, scary stuff. The Zero is a pretty plane, you have to admit! BTW, is that a real Sakae engine there?

I think its a Sakae. As well as aircraft, there are a lot of parts all over the garage.
