Yeah-I need pieces fast for a show next month so I figure just do some portraits-and it only took like 3 days from start to finish- which is cool..I tried to get it looking real but...It still looks cartoony as hell-LOL!

No, i wouldn't say cartoony. that is definitely not a good description of it. I would say very stylized, very David Macdowellized. And three days... kick ass, thats fast dude. didn't it say 24x30? You on meth? kidding.

No meth or any drugs for me besides 2 pots of coffee daily and alot of cigarettes and when Im done painting I drink sometimes..OK I drink alot..but atleast it aint Meth?haaaaa!! How do we work different? besides the obvious-{the mediums etc} Id love to see some work in progs from you someday and stuffssssss

Thanks man-I already put it "in the proper channels"-the day that i finished it-just for fun and its a "no go" this time..it didnt make it to the 3rd rung of the latter-which is cool with me..If I wanted him to see it badly enough Id just take it to a Laker Game and throw it on the court-LOL!

will do! actually theres a wizard of oz theme show that I was invited to later in the year so -I just started a Cuckoo's nest meets OZ type thing{jack as dorothy squirting nurse wicked witch Ratchet making her melt etc..The OZ mental hospital-Jucyfruit-etcI need to see it again to get more inside visual symbols but Ive got BBBilly as the tin man-The indian as the scarecrow and Cheswick as the lion etc and Scatman crothers as the flying monkey{is that wrong to do ethnic wise??I dont really think so so Ill do it anyway.....well...Thats what Im workin on..What chew doin??

I am doing a big nothing... my work is really taking my artistic side and draining it. I work at a studio so I am doing art all the time...and I just havent had the motivation to do anything for myself. Well I did start a Robert Plant Allison Krauss drawing after buying the cd. But... I dunno it's just more of the same. I was thinking about doing something with Tarrantino's character's next...but I am not sure what.
SO how often do you work with Juxtapoz mag?...was that just a one off deal? I am not sure I asked, do you do this as your living? You certainly should be if not, but I know it's a tough sell at times.

I was only on Juxtapoz.com maybe 2 times-never in the mag-I aint famous man!! I paint full time and have like 7 gallerys that im doin stuff for..It is a tough gig now-but everything that Im doing is going somewhere{as opposed to my closet etc} so im on the right track..and only reciently paintings have started to sell so--my plans of art world domination are going accordingly on schedule{after I build a race of atomic supermen etc-

Yes...the cd is called Raising Sand. It's pretty good, I wouldn't call it great, bI really like about half of it. They are actually touring together, Plant turned down a Zep reunion tour to do this. So I guess he's really into it. He is looking his age...or actually older. But she is a beauty as always.
I am not sure what I saw, but I thought you had done some Juxtapoz. Well if you are not famous give it some time I have no doubt your work is good and different enough to get you there.
Yeah...well I am kind of in a rut as far as art. I am not sure what I want to do anymore with it, I feel like I have done the portrait and movie poster thing enough at times...but then I really have no idea what else I want to try. I really like lowbrow art like the Pizz does... and still..if I see some really good fan art I dig it. And caricature work if it is interesting... I guess that is why I dig your art...you are doing some famous faces but still making something from it. I watched a special the other day on a artist and I cannot remember his name. But in it, he spent alot of time covering up existing billboards with his little art statements, which gets him in trouble. He also did a series of little kids in cars with Kiss makeup on...and the band contacted him to do some work for them. He did a series of classical looking paintings (really well) but put Kiss makeup on the characters. The band didn't care for them... and then ended up suing him for using their trademark! Heh...interesting show.

I know Ron Englishh does kiss things and paints/infultrates billboards etc..I wanna meet him and will probably next year according as planned. What I have to say to any successful artist is, ummm...NOTHING..haaaaa! They cant help me at this point and Im ready to snap with{MUCH pre-thought out} snappy retorts if they get twitchy with me

I like the Python crew hacking up the Golden Girls... interesting for sure. But then I would feel like I am copying what you do if I try things like that. I did that Tenacious D in the American Gothic painting..so there is a bit of that..but that is one of the most cliched paintings to pick on. I really like the lowbrow stuff... not sure I can do it but might give it a try. Either way I am going to start doing some more experimenting, even if I keep up the same ol same ol...

Cool-and dont worry about "doing what everyone else does" because theyre gunna hunt you down in the middle of the night and tie you to a tree reguardless--You DO YOU-and get angry at Them for not doing it as great as you can..Show them and rub it in their faces-steal their audience-and in the meantime get high on the competition and take pride that you work hard{so...might as well try to make it known that you kick butt big time}..I encourage you and enchant my hutzpah/joy on you to push/break out-I want that for you as much as I want for me to see you achieve la vida loca!!!! Screw Tarrantino-Do Michael Palin drinking Jack Daniels with naked men{?!}=Now THAT-would be cool-haaaaa! Skys the limit once you get pissed and poor dude
