Description To me, this painting defines my male perspective of love. I like to think that she is completing his puzzle by placing the final piece, rather than removing it. Which one I intended is a perpetual question to me. It is much more interesting to me to hear what others take from it.

A very admirable style in depicting the viewpoint that no doubt many had felt, but had no exact image to compare it. Well done in doing so.

Wow, not only that it looks absolutely amazing in details and color seleciton, the idea is also wonderful. No wonder you got it in DDs. Congrats and keep up the good work.

I'd like to think she's completing him.
But that opinion definitely differs from person to person, male or female.

from the little things I notice one might think you didn't have much luck with women P:
cause her hand is grasping the piece in a way which people do when they take.and he isn't looking at her, which makes me think he doesn't like what she's doing.
as for me..I think that the completion feeling is mutual.so if I were to draw that I would have both sides ad pieces to each other.
and even if you don't stay with that person, the part they put within you is forever yours and no one can take it away.at the worst case scenario it is valuable experience.

Reminds me of the novel "Anthem" by Ayn Rand.

They ran away from their controlled society that is taught that everyone is equal and "we" is all the people collectively.
They found the word "I" and they said "I love you" rather than "We love you"

Good read :9

Interesting how you perceive the male perspective. I like the idea. So, it's almost like the female carries the missing piece around until she can finally give it away

Incredible. Sometimes it feels like both, she's taking it away and she's adding it back. When she appears it's complete, but when she's gone, it's like that piece will always be missing....

All you need is love-- maybe not to be alive or to be happy, but to be complete.

That's what your piece made me think of, anyway. Great concept and excellent work!

When I saw this I immediately got all girly and went "awwww..." but I love the concept and idea behind. To me, love is about finding that someone who just "fits" and "completes" you (as a puzzle was a terrific way to show this). Amazing concept and of course art work (especially the definition of the pieces and the vines).

To me, it looks like she's completing him. The way he's looking down at his hand...I can only imagine the next few moments after this one. When she slides the final piece into place. There's so much possibility wrapped up in that one little action; he could be elated, thrown into joys the likes of which he has yet to experience, or perhaps it will destroy him. I absolutely love this piece. Thank you so much for posting it!

many people feel incomplete, like a piece of them is missing. but noone will find that piece for you. my feeling is that only when you find a missing piece, you will be ready for true expirience of love and unity with your partner. love to see the illustration of this feeling, hope it makes many people think about who they are
