Description
Alright I promised this a little while back so here it is, the step by step process I used for the Ms Marvel piece I did recently.Step 1. Pencils
I've kind of skipped showing the layout stage of this piece, mainly because I did so many of them and I couldn't be arsed scanning that many pages into my computer.

Yeah, another question: How do you draw the way you do? I always liked the superhero type of style, so I was wondering like is there a book I can learn this drawing style from? A tutorial on this or what?

How I draw is the sum of all my influences, and how I see life. Style is not something you really learn from a book or tutorial, you have to develop it yourself. The key to good drawing is to have a solid foundation to your work. Learn the basics of drawing anatomy, structure, proportions, form, light, shadow, perspective, etc. Always reference from real life instead of just other artists' work (although you can glean some useful stuff from other artists it shouldn't be the foundation of your work). Don't worry about style, it will come naturally.

This is neither here nor there, but the upper pec insertion into the delt (shoulder) and the entire arm looks exactly like my own arm.

isn't it amazing the differences you can see when an image is now on the computer as apposed to live in your face? I've seen so many mistakes after scanning that I never would have seen otherwise.....

Yeah... just gotta step away from the board more, and looking at the work in a mirror (or from behind with a light) helps too.

I'm not one to leave a lot of comments on others work, but thought I would say thanks for the time you took to explain your step by step on this piece. I'm trying to learn as I go and this really helps a lot. Thanks again. Great work.
