Finally! After all these months, it's finished!
Hope you have nearly half an hour to spare!
"Hydrex Adventure" - based on the original concept by The Sonic Team, this is a variation of the "Sonic Adventure DX" storyline, but with my otter-characters, Leroy "Hydrex" & Pearl Rudderbuck.
With the exception of the otters and Krakatoa the Kraken, all the other characters are trademarks of SEGA.
Also, I did use a fair number of musical themes from different sources - though I did try to stick by the 30-second rule. Any clip that appears longer is really a sound-loop.
The continuing story of the efforts of Hydrex & Pearl to defeat Eggman's machines and escape.
Will they make it? Will Eggman's robots prove too strong for them? Or will they prove that you should never carry your Eggman in one basket?
Please note: I had to split this Flash into two halves due to size, since the program was unable to get enough memory to export it in one piece. I'd advise watching the half first, because there is no "story so far" preamble on this half.

hmm go onto to you tube and type in Leroy Jenkins. you'll see what im talking about. and the seen where Leroy, or hydrex what ever you want to call him. smashes the robot with his tail after jumping off the ledge. reminded me of it. Just watch the youtube video it will clear it all up.

Totally awesome animation. You certainly put heaps of time and effort into it, and it was interesting how you made Big much more useful in this than in the actual sonic series.
I noticed Pearl has a bit of an interesting accent (Scottish?)

Yeah, I actually like Big, and I wanted to see him actually contribute something to the story - if the character was better used in the series, he'd have a bigger following.
Well, Pearl's accent is actually supposed to be nautical-sounding.
Hydrex should have a similar accent, really, but Tom didn't do that this time - he's not really had much experience in voice-acting, though I think he is improving in the future.
Based on the Brian Jacques influence, I guess... with otters, I tend to think of Captain Barbossa from Pirates of the Caribbean - more of the "Arrr, Jim lad!" kind of accent.

Oh OK, I don't know why but Pearl just sounded a little bit Scottish to me
Yeah, i would like it if Big was made more useful in real life, and he'd obviously be a much more popular character. I like Big because he's really gentle and he's a really nice person, just his voice annoys me a little bit.
"I defy You stereotypes!" Haha you've made my day with that one!, i hate people who stereotype their characters. It annoys me when i see people who always make their cute characters the heroes and their sexy characters the villains :anger:. My main character Sami is a nice girl, yet she is the sexiest thing ever (Well not literally) and she wears black leather gloves and jump suit like Fiona Fox. Heh, yeah... poor Big's voice doesn't seem to do him much credit - though it has a cute side to it as well!
Yeah, I like to try new ideas now and then. Well, I draw the line at extreme interspecies relationships (like bird marrying mammal or something), but I do go with unusual friendships - Danbuster the hare is friends with a ferret, a rat and an eagle... all good guys. And Marquila isn't really cute, being a big dangerous eagle - he's just tough and heroic.
Retsubnad is Danbuster's twin-brother, but they both hate the generalisation "evil twin"... he's more like a misunderstood antihero these days.
Then there's grey characters like Vladimir Rippovski - a vampire bat solicitor, whose expressionless face and dark, creepy appearance make his motives a complete mystery to those that don't know him.
Perhaps one of the most unusual turnarounds is Krakatoa the friendly kraken!

No its OK, i like Accents from Ireland and the UK (Hence my Irish character Beryl, and my Welsh character Sami 
I understand a lot of people don't like Big because of his voice and his goofy personality. But i think he's quite funny, and it does look really sweet when he's sitting by the riverside with froggy
If there's one character i don't like, it's Scourge! Grrrrr! :angry: (No offence to you if you like Scourge, but i just think he is arrogance at its worst and just totally full of himself, worst of all, look at what he turned poor Fiona into

Yeah, I just find Big cute all round - and he has a great personality, which is what I look for in a good character. I still like Tails best, but Big is also very high up the list. Probably third after Tails and Sonic, even!
Never read the Archie comics, but I can see where you're coming from. I also hate arrogant characters. Even villains. With me, a villain has to have some decent quality that endears me to them somehow - like Eggman's clumsy humour, Davy Jones inner-sadness (inspiring a kind of vague sympathy) or Smaug's magnificence from the Hobbit. It either has to be a villain I can laugh at, feel sorry for, or feel deserving of admiration. The kind that are just bad with no endearing quality - like the sort that temporarily defeat the hero by a dirty trick and then gloat over it, I really hate that! (I know a lot of villains play dirty tricks, but it's the execution that makes the difference - like when Jack Sparrow disabled Will Turner with sand in the face and pulled out his gun to end their swordfight, but then asked him nicely to let him go free. Sparrow at least has a good side to him)
And yeah, I do wonder what the writers were smoking when they had Fiona abandon an in-species relationship with Tails to go off with Scourge - what, fox and vixen is wrong, but hedgehog and vixen is A-OK?

I certainly tried to get these things looking good - of course, in the future, I do hope to move into more original concepts with my own characters. Sonic is still just fan-art.
But yeah, it's a little early to tell yet with Pearl's cubs - when they're born, they'll probably be in the new anthro-style, like Hydrex and Pearl themselves... they're all getting a revamp so that they can standalone in their own style, or mingle with Danbuster's world.

I have watched both part and I must say, I have really enjoyed them.
First of all, I'd like to thank, thank, thank, THANK you for not going too random with the flash and leading away from the plot, or flash in general. I'll also forgive the lost explorer part since that was funny.
Secondly, the fact that Sonic said "Waah, my virginity!" when Amy tackled him to the ground was very funny, not only because it makes sense, but also it's not really in your area of humour, which is more random and physical (lots of falling, flying, clawing on the ceiling in fear...).
Thirdly, Krakatoa is probably one of your more detailed and fun characters (apart from every character you've ever had...) and also may I just say one thing; I think you should stop creating new characters for a while (apart from the future cubs).
Finally, I really enjoyed these flash movies. I can tell you've worked very hard on them. Thank you for entertaining me, as well as everyone else who watched the flash movies, plus thank you for no reason at all.

Krakatoa? Yeah, I reckon I have enough to go on with - I kind of made him in a moment of inspiration, and as a pet for the Rudderbucks...

Otters are a great idea because they can be fast on land and on water. Sure the games says "Sonic the Hedgehog" all over. But I think the other characters should get the big role too. Amy I think is a porcupine because of her hair.
