Description
On the advice of AlexRaccoonGlider , I've been trying to practice on just drawing my characters in various poses. I've been drawing these to pass a bit of time during my break-periods at work lately. This is the second of a couple of pages I have done, with poses taken from various sources:
Mastering the Art of Manga (Cedar and Freda's battle poses)
Illustrations from The Chronicles of Narnia (Cedric being lazy, and Wally cow-towing to Retsubnad, a la Uncle Andrew and Jadis)
Getafix from the Asterix comics (Einspine's scientific experiment)
Jaspurr lying on my sofa (Thoronraw's attitude of repose)
The characters themselves are all my own intellectual property.

Hello Danbuster, I see that you were practicing yet again! Well you did ask for critique and I'll give you the necessary review that you required! So far upon first impressions of the pictures, I see that some of these poses are not only looking more complex but I see that you've taken references both from books, movies and even a real life example, which I will explain in the reviews.
Vision) As they say; practice makes perfect, and I see that the practice is starting to pay off as far as these sketches go. These look like more complex poses as everyone seems to exhibit a form of action even when doing nothing like lounging around or dozing off.
Originality) Knowing you, from the references I can see in the artwork I can really enjoy how you took little details from everything you like and create a jubilee of characters that everyone can really like or relate to in some cases, but as far as posing and emotions go, I think the posing really enhances how everyone behaves as far as a character goes, be it industrious or a brown noser or in the middle of an intense action!
Technique) Well like I mentioned in the introduction, I see that the books and movies and real life examples really captured your interest as you practice and practice and practice! I do wish you lots of luck in the near future when you do this again.
Overall Impact) Im giving it 3.5 out of 5 stars. I still want to leave room for improvement because you seem to be on the right track and I think a few more drawings will really help you reach the next level!
Reviewer's Suggestion) For some more action-y and static poses and expressions, I strongly reccomend studying some sprites from videogames like from the site: "Spriter's Resource" and also research a book my good friend a.deviantart.net/avatars/s/e/s⦠" alt=" " title="SethTheDragon" /> highly reccomended for me: "Steal like an artist" if you can find it. I look foreword to seeing more sketch sheets like this again.

Nice ones!
The one in mid right seems like saying "Draw me like one of your french girls..." XD

Heh, with the notable difference, of course, that Cedric is a male otter...
Still, I'm sure he's attractive to some opposite gender of his species...
