Description
frame of mind was created from a leftover of a 3d modellingi did for a commercial job. the hands and the head were
modelled in alias wavefronts maya using subdivision surfaces.
the rest was done in photoshop, as usual.
and yes, the image is 100% grayscale. and i used garamond. talk
about oldschool.

I've seen this before, but when I saw it, it was long after it was posted
Anyway, I belive b/w is the worst colour to work with - so many times an image will just 'look wrong' when devoid of colour.
Well, not so here anyway.

when I looked at it before, my gamma was way off - no background at all. Think I like it better that way, there's no "oomph" to the background.
Yeah, love the hands, love hands, love nails, love the perspective. It's so easy to do with with 3-rendering (no?) but so few take advantage of strange/crazy perspective. I think. Yeah.
Mouth does look screwy.

whoa, this is great. i really dig how this is completely grayscale and still it looks so detailed. very nice rendering on the model as well as adding the background that completely complements the focal point.
