Description
Warning: GIANT file!!!!!!!!!!!Sorry for the english-mistakes on some parts
Why is tutorial so hard to read/ not straight but instead you have to scroll up in the middle?
Reason is simple: I wanted to do it that way

Here is the promised lesson about cloth-design and ornaments! I can only repeat it again and again: Practice is the key to success~
Homework:
All I can ask you to do for homework is to practice. Try the different things like magic circles and laces in your own style and experiment with them a little
This lesson was written by exclusively for and Please don't repost it anywhere without my written permission!!!

Wanna practice even more?
Give yourself a challenge! Make a list of words that you want to put into your cloth design! Words that have nothing to do with each other and somehow combine them in an outfit!

Personal:
*dead* x_X
Alright, guys,... Here it is... and I'm officially insane that I did this... OTL OTL OTL
This must be the most giant tutorial I ever wrote
My back hurts, my neck hurts, my fingers hurt but HELL YES I'M HAPPY AND SATISFIED! I kinda butchered Elliot's and Skye's design but... come on they are chibis!!
When I saw Elliot's design the very first time I was thinking right away 'They look as if they could be constantly fighting...' lol I don't know why, but making my charas fight each other all the time is a prove of my love for them xD POOR THEM!!!!
Ehem... LOL!!!!
Hope you enjoy~~~

You packed a lot of good advice in there. I especially liked the bit at the end where you told everyone to enjoy their art. I'm a big supporter of that theory.

Well, I think it is the most important one ^^ If you don't like your own work, how it is supposed to get any better??

This tutorial is AWESOME!!!! It's exactly what I needed right now!! It's cause one of my weakness in art is designing clothes, but with this tutorial (and with a lot of practice of course), I'll be able to overthrow my weakness. Thank you so much for this tutorial.

Heh, here's a quick screenshot I took from the series: [link]
Your picture doesn't look exactly like her, but she's what popped in my head when I saw that one dark skinned variation. And this is a good little tutorial you have here too, I haven't fav'ed it, but I did save it to my folder of many tutorial things I've seen on dA ;o

Do part one and two work if I'm using pencil and paper?
Since I can't create a new layer... and I don't have a um tablet or whatever it is that most artists seem to use these days...

Deamond-89 In reply to simpuruu-hime [2010-01-02 12:45:27 +0000 UTC]
xDxD
Well, it does. It is just easier not to create a mess when you are able to delete some stuff after finishing the picture. But of course it works with pencil and paper as well. When I'm not at home I work with traditional media as well

it works on paper... just if you make a mistake it would be harder to fix. layers help prevent that.

I will credit you, of course.

It's so easy for me to feel either optimistic or negative. Art mood swings~
but generally I'm up beat -yay-
Ugh, I totally needed that colour lesson. my art looks like rainbow puke always :'c

lol Well, if the chara all in all is very colorful it is alright, but it always implies a very cheery mood. You can't create mystery, sadness, etc with it
