Description Ink, watercolor, and colored pencil. I referenced Ursula Vernon's super tutorial on her scribbly style for the background. The dancer was almost certainly inspired by Matt Bourne's Swan Lake, while the head must have emerged from the splendid masks of the Pacific Northwest tribes.

Thank you! The background is prismacolor pencil scribbled atop watercolor. I followed Ursula Vernon's sweet tutorial ([link] ). The brush pen was another terrific idea from the tut.
