KirkjufellIceland
Kirkjufell is one of 'the' landmarks in Iceland that photographers rightfully flock to. It is a conical shaped mountain on the Snaefellsnes Peninsula on the far west of the country. The nearest town of Grundarfjordur is a beautiful town set in a bay. A few kilometres away lies this mountain with a beautiful small waterfall nearby that tends to dominate compositions of images taken with this mountain. The weather was not kind to us on both of our visits to the area, however, on the last evening in the area, the skies cleared beautifully to provide us the opportunity for this image.

Nice shot man! ItΒ΄s a shame the best pictures of iceland are taken by tourists, newer to be shared with icelanders. But instead we get to hang there all the time.
