Description This is a single image of Murphy's Haystacks (a different part of the rocky outcrop in the previously posted panorama)
It is located on Eyre Peninsula 40km from Streaky Bay (the closest large town in the area) which means the skies are pretty much pitch black.
The moon had not risen but was going to be a full moon so I had 1 hour to get off these shots before the stars would have been washed out.
It was kind of eerie in the dark alone but on the plus, if anyone approached by car, I would have seen them from miles away!

do you use telescope tracking motor and join multiple shots for such details inside the milky way ('clouds').

i tried such recording in the past but no luck with such details

No, I just use a high iso setting and 30 second exposures at 16mm to prevent the stars from trailing

I kind of envy that you were able to catch such a spectacular and clear view of the stars and cosmos.

Is this a single exposure with parameters as in camera data? Amazing..

This picture is made with fisheye lens? Does this have an infinity sign as well?
I'd really love to buy Canon 5D Mk III, but it's pretty damn expensive.
As I can see, you achieve very beautiful pictures even with such high ISOs as 3200. Is this totally noise free?

Spectacular picture!

Greetings,
Indrek.

Done with the 16-35mm F2.8 II lens - it is not totally noise free but significantly better than the mk2 - I can finally make big prints with iso3200 night shots

Do you have an infinity sign also with that lens?
Well, this seems really fancy camera. Totally neat.
Got to love the night shots - I'd really love to make them myself without worrying about the noise.

Thanks for the answer.
