Description
I came up with the idea for this ahead of the President's State of the Union address last week, but didn't finish it until a day or so later. Originally, I had the GOP character standing behind a bomb shield, about to press a button labeled "FIRE," but I decided a safe suspended by a rope would be both more cartoon-appropriate and funnier.

I'm very happy with how the lighting on the target came out, although I had to assemble some of Obama's shadow in the color version out of cross-hatching from a few other parts of the cartoon, because in black and white, the dark parts of the target are just solid black.
