Apparently I draw zombies well with quite a lot of ease. Who knew?This cartoon got quite a bit of traffic on my website thanks to Reddit and Stumbleupon... unfortunately, that didn't keep up longer than a couple of days.
I think I may make a habit of posting editorial cartoons here a few days/maybe a week after they show up on my cartoon blog, so if you wanna see stuff when it's fresh, go here .

Great cartoon! I think there is further symbolism here. Since we enjoyed our greatest peacetime expansion at the time during Reagan, not to mention recovery from one of our worst economic times, it is only fitting to see Obama fighting rabidly against those things that clearly worked. I guess after Tuesday, most of America agrees with that.

Actually i have the facts and reality. Reaganomics only work for a short term before they start leaving the country. They also only work if the company is held accountable to their actions. Otherwise it's just letting them do whatever they want and to have no restrictions on a business has shown time and time again that they will abuse it cause it is not their job to be socially acceptable or friendly it is to make money and that is fine and all good for them but again that is why we need restrictions.

Glade to see you backed that up with your own facts. You can do a simple google to check on its failures you don't need to be an economist to understand it either. Now i know your use to the little kid who yells and whines about you tossing out your big insults but sadly for you i am not one of them. I am educated and will continue to be educated on matters of the world and my profession.

Oh I went to your page. You are very young; it makes perfect sense now. A couple of words of advice - posting links without being able to incorporate them into an argument does not make you appear educated, it makes you appear able to use Google. Scanning for information you think substantiates a point is called confirmation bias. Also, posting Wiki as a source of opinion further diminishes your credibility. Most college classes disallow this as a source. Lastly, beware posting Mises when aruing economics - they are very pro tax cut and absolutely despise Obama and his economic policies.
No worries, as you get more experience you will catch on.

Another error you made is youth since age only proves that you have the ability to know potential more. Not that you do. I looked up the economy statistics and you can too cause if i a young man can use google you should be able as well. Obviously you have never heard the term "confirmation bias". You should look it up. It is not in reference to your opinion, it is in reference to cherry picking information to support a preconceived notion.

Can you factually correlate that with anything other than your opinion? In fact the major event that caused the recession was the housing bubble. Do you have any idea why this happened? Very briefly, it was an artficial stimulation of the money supply that made revenue readily available to anyone who wanted it. Unfortunately, this caused too much money to chase after too few goods. While cheap money causes a temporary increase in values (home prices going up), once the saturation point passes, it causes a huge drop in values, and a tightening of the money supply. Suddenly people owned homes that were worth less than they owed. Banks stopped loaning money, so businesses contracted. Unemployment went up and production went down. We started the recession. The policy that allowed this willy nilly loaning of money was called the fair housing act, under Clinton.
How did Bush respond? He launched the TARP designed to pump money into the economy and stimulate lending again. Unfortunately, you canβt make scared businesses lend and it failed.
And what did Obama do? Doubled down on the failed TARP. Jammed through unwanted health care reform. Threatened tax increases and cap and trade. Increased the deficit and the debt to record proportions never before imagined. Unemployment skyrocketed. Production fell further. Defaults went up higher. He took what was a bad economy and destroyed it by his foolish policies and his incredible inexperience.
However under Reagan, we had the largest peace time expansion in history up to that point. Taxes went down, revenues went up, unemployment was low, consumer confidence was high. He was successful!
Please tell me what area of the economy is better under Obama than Reagan.
