Description
UPDATE: This will be the last update before I pose the character and take a good couple of renders and a turnaround. I feel the texture is more or less complete. It could still use a bit of tweaking, especially on the spines, but more or less it's done. It's posing time, now! Keep an eye out for a posed version and an eventual turnaround!And don't forget to hit download if you really want to see all the detail work!

Just an update on that Reaper model I showed oh so very long ago. I've been working on it on and off, on my freetime and during class. I have decided that she is indeed very creepy. And that I'm not all too sure if I should keep the smokestacks or get rid of 'em completely. On one hand I like smokestacks. On the other they kind of clutter up the character but kind of don't. So I'm not all too sure.
BUT YES.

I'd love to hear what anyone has to say. I'm still far from done so input now would be great!

Do you dabble in any 3D at the moment? It takes some getting used to the medium, but it's really easy once you learn what everything does. There's some free programs around too if you're really interested.

Yes, I did. 
Once I'm on campus, I'm going to download the software from Autodesk since I'm already signed up with their education community (which means free software, yaaaay), but if you have any suggestions I'd absolutely love to know.

The only suggestion I have is ZBrush by Pixologic. It's less of a modeling and more of a sculpting program. I use it for pretty much everything because I love it that much. If ZBrush were to disappear I don't know what I'd do to cope. D:

Which brings me to think you would be able to draw one rather easily- it's... Twisted. It has a bunch of arms and stuff, and it's evil!
But that's just me.
Really though, I think Reaper is the best uh, how do you say it- "Sciency experiment person thing" I've ever come across. The whole file on here [link] is brilliant, but some more backstory could make some purdy gud fanfics. Wait, can you even make a fanfic for your own series? O_o

There's a lot I've written for Reaper since I posted this so she's had her fair share of development. Just wait till I get around to introducing her in Mechanical Resonance.

That is very cool. I really like how she now looks like she's wearing a dress (made of flesh!). Those loooong nails look naaasty. And I like the spine/bone thing on the back.

I liked the smokestacks! She looks fine without them. If you don't want to put them on, you don't have to.
She reminds me of something from a video game, like maybe 'Dead Space' or 'Parasite EVE' or something. maybe 'Doom 3'. I know I've never seen her before, but she looks like she could belong in those games.
The folding at her lower half suggests a robe or perhaps tentacles? Maybe loose skin...I can't wait to see her when she's finished!

Weeell...I am still contemplating them, but at this point in time I'm too overworked to give them much thought. There's still a chance I'll put 'em back, though. Just...Probably not anytime soon. 
Ooh, I loved Dead Space and Parasite EVE. Some good creature design in those games. I'm honoured it made you think of them and that you could see this character in one of those games! If there's one thing I'm working towards, it's eventually getting something that I've created into either a game or a movie. Now that would be the day, if I could see one of my monsters on a television set. I could die happy when that happens.
It in indeed meant to be a broken mass of tentacles and loose flesh, so it's good that it's conveying that effect! There's still more detail to go in before it really starts to look how I want but the fact that you guessed it fills me with utmost glee!

You could make a movie using stopmotion, moving your entity around and taking a picture, then moving her a little more then taking another picture, then moving her a little more, ect.

I imagine er voice being very...I don't know...scratchy, OOH! I know! go to youtube and type in 'Crooked Rot'. The voices of the heads are somwehere along the lines of what i picture her voice being like.

Actually the way I've written her in my story her voice is very soft and light, a raspy whisper. Her vocal cords were more or less shot so she can't talk for very long without taking a break.

And I know, right? That vid is sooooo messed! it's like a really bad high or something. A worse vid is called 'Manny- a Divid Firth Inspired Film.' It's about one head that's supposed to be in hell for being greedy, but it's really dumb until he catches on fire.
OH! another great vid is called 'Salad Fingers'. It's about a strange insane man who lives out in the middle of nowhere. The first episode is really dumb, but my two faves are Four and Eight. If you don't understand something, look it up on wikipedia. It explains his disabilities really well.

Really looks like she's coming together! I really love the detailing you've got going on here. She looks very fleshy and viscous. That spinal arrangement cannot be comfortable.

I really like the face, hands and the spine-like structure on the back of the neck. It looks quite cool! The smoke stacks I think look a wee bit out of place, seeing as they're quite geometric in comparison to the organic look of the creature. Unless you're going for a biomechanical/machine look, which would be rather awesome in my view. Perhaps adding some more grey armour-machine like parts to her chest/lower body would give this some extra awesome.

I am aiming for a biomechamical look when all is said and done. I'm going to change the design of the smokestacks and add in some more machinery, especially around the arms and back, and some more scars and bruises and cuts. Thank you for your input at this point in time, though! It's awesome that people are willing to help when it's so close to completion.
