Description I have seen it multiple times in my time in secondary school that people can be ignored. I never was as I never allowed myself to be but I know people who were and are still 'awkward'.

So I make my mission that whenever I stride into class, to sit with anyone who is by themselves! (I know who prefers to sit by themselves and who doesn't choose to).

Just take one class, you don't always have to sit with your friends, and you can explain to them if they get upset, but it can make a big difference to someone who feels excluded for someone like ya to appear and take an interest in them!

So yea, you could make a HUGE impact on someone just by simply choosing to sit with them and saying hello! It might not seem like much to you, but it could really mean the world to them.

And the title choice cuz I felt it truly fit

So true ... I've been in such a situation once, and my life was saved by a nice person like that ...

xD amen to that!

i'm one of those persons who sits alone,
npormally I choose it that way... it's just better to sit alone...

but sometimes i want to sit next to people problem: none knows the diffirence, when I'm social and when i'm not

reminds me of something: one person sits as first somewhere and then the other half goes and sits somewhere else,
So the first person should move to the bigger pack to sit together.... I hate that SO much, it makes me sad.

Anyone knows that feelin?

I cannot begin to say how much this poem effected me because I know all to well the feeling of rejection and unfair judgement until one day someone actually did do this and I realised there is hope for humanity..

And it's kind of ironic because now that I've had friends I realised I actually prefer to be alone.

I wish people were more like you.. Especially last year when I almost always ended up alone. In group activities I was assigned people who were absent. I was more of an extra who got in the way. For two years now I've been at my own lunch table with only one other friend, no one else sitting by us.
Its really depressing, and my school is really judgmental so I doubt it would change.
/lolendrant

HOwever, my two best friends are people not many people have dared to get close to. However, they're my amazing antisocial caterpillars XD

reminds me of my old self and my by best friend forever. :]
all my life, i've been alone, drawing on my sketchpad and never talk to anyone.
until another girl like me who's been reading long thick books all her life (since she was a kid) came to me.
i'm so glad there's some girl who can relate to my interests. cause i love reading books too. ya'll know that art comes after stories.

This makes me happy. I'm glad to know there are others who still try to make everyone feel accepted. I was beginning to think I was the only one. I was one of the awkward loners in grade 9 who didn't know anyone, and in third period a girl (who is now one pf my good friends) asked me to sit with her and made an effort to make me feel welcome. I hope everyone can experience how wonderful that feeling of acceptance is.

This is actually very touching, and I'm not a mushy kind of person. I am that anti-social kid away from everyone else, and this 'poem' practically sums it up. This kind of experince happened a few days ago in school actually~

You don't know how much this means to me. This pretty much sums up my entire existence. I'm that antisocial kid, who may or may not cut herself. I get rumors spread about me without even doing anything. People take one look at me and they judge. I have one kid who really cares for me, and she is the person who saved my life by being with me at school. If it weren't for her, I would already be dead.
I just... When I read this, I almost cried. Somebody finally understands me. Thank you, thank you, for making our existence known, and helping me through my most terrible days.

Its so sweet of you to sit with 'awkward' people, I've moved around a lot and each time I always find myself stuck in the same situation . And the one person like you that sits down and says a simple "Hi" makes me feel less like an alien and helps make my day. There should be more people in the world like you!

lol when I was in high school I was the shy girl that sat alone in every class. I was actually the one to reach out to others but was ignored further :] apparently everyone thought I was a bitch and I thought they were a little ridiculous so I didn't much care. Then again when you like anime in my town and wear black you're kind of doomed xD
either way I like this poem :3 these tactics worked to get me a few friends!

This is a cute poem. I've always wondered with your work if there's any particular meaning to where you put the color blobs, or if it's just where they look okay. I always find myself looking for a secret message that they spell out or something

I wish someone could sit next to me! Back in 10th grade, I had this friend, but once she got a boyfriend she stopped hanging out with me. I was left alone so I would wander the whole school during my free periods and lunch break, or just sit somewhere and take a nap. -w-

Now I'm in twelfth grade and I still don't have any friends, but I do have a boyfriend who I love very much. Unfortunately, I can only see him on Fridays and sometimes on the weekend. I try to interact and socialize with other people from my class, and some are very nice, but they all have their own group of friends. So, they just consider me as their other friend. Meh, it used to get to me before but I'm used to being alone now. Anyway, great poem. If only all teenagers (and adults!) could be like you.
