Using a shard of broken window she cuts the butterfly from her dress, giving it the life and freedom she could only dream of...Been working on this one for a while... I quite like how it turned out mostly. I know the BG perspective is off because while I was drawing it I taught myself proper 1 point, hopefully I can implement that better in another picture. It was really fun playing with lighting and making the character lit with the secondary light which has bounced up off the floor from the window stream.

I love this piece. I also like the slight differences in the setting that indicate the difference between a beautiful place that was a home and a place that has worn been worn away by time and is now confining, like a prison.
