So recently I've gotten into Star Trek... particularly Data, from The Next Generation series. He's what got me into it!For the past week I've been doing practice sketches of his face... it was definitely a challenge, especially since a lot of it was done from memory. (I've been at school drawing him)
I tried converting him to anime style, I did! But it never really... looked like him. So I did it realistically.
I've been planning on this pic for awhile now. :3 Been working on it all day XD
And sorry if the details on the uniform are off, it was kinda hard to find clear screencaps of his movie attire.
I hope you guys like it!

It's probably because of Virgin 1.. if you live in the UK, anyway. And every other person who says that they've become a Trekkie again says that they're obsessed with Data too..

We I was a kid I though Data was a vampire, only he was a nice vampire. This is great, I can never get his skin tone right. Spot look quite comfortable, lucky cat.

His skin tone is kinda tricky >< sometimes it has a yellow tint to it, others it's just.. white. Eh.

I remember my mom trying to explain to me that he was an android but I didn't think so because he wasn't boxy and shiney like a android LOL
I related to him as a kid because he reacted in similar ways , I remember seeing when he got the emotion chip and got scared, a child can relate to that.
Though I grew up mostly on the original series, I've seen it since the beginning, of TNG Data was my second fav.....Worf was my first, I always thought he was funny. "I am not a merry man" LOL

I'm a recent Trekkie I guess, I only just got into it in April. I was on Spring Break and the tv was turned on and I randomly watched it... It was the end of fistful of Datas one when I started paying attention, and then the Quality of Life one played after that and I was just sucked in by Data. XD I didn't see the opening credits, so I googled him and WHOOSH I got into Star Trek.

Good for you, I've been a long time fan, always loved Spock. I've just gotten back into TNG, my friend loves Data. I'm more of a Data fan when it comes to TNG now instead of Worf.
I don't have cable so I only get to see trek every saturday and monday 12am, they don't show TNG, so I'm going to have to buy the series.

This is so cool. I've seen few people who manage to draw Data well, and you've pretty much got it!
Ahhh...this takes me back...Star Trek:T.N.G was the first T.V series I ever really got into when I was young, and Data was my all-time fave(still is). It's always nice seeing him.
