can you explain what you did in each step?
i dont understand 5 and 6.
are the on top of the layers?
what setting did you use on the layer?
what opacity?
what program was this done in?

From 5th to 6th, he added a multiply or overlay layer on top with some kind of diamond brushes. It won't be so hard.
Edit: Multiply layer on light part, Overlay layer on dark part.
