Earlier this year, I create a portfolio for Sheridan's Bachelor of Animation Program. As anyone might be able to tell you, It's no easy task constructing a portfolio - unless if you're a professional. In which, I am most certainly not. Even harder still, is competing against 1000's of talented artist all over the world for a 150 seat spot.

One of the portfolio requirements, was to create a kitchen in perspective. And then, using the same kitchen, create a fantasy setting for it.

I am really happy how it turned out. Some of my best perspective work yet. To get some help, I used a book called "Perspective! For Comic Book Artists" by David Chelsea. If anyone is interested in learning perspective, I strongly recommend picking up the book. To say that it is useful, would be huge understatement. Why, I learned more from the book, then I did from an entire year of perspective classes from college.

Dispite my earnest efforts, I did not get into the program. This was my third attempt at trying to get in. Ah well...There is always next year I suppose. I think in the mean time, I really want to get better at digital painting. I also want to get further on the story I've been working on too. So, hopefully I'll be able to upload my progress in the days to come.
