looks like an upgrade to the battlestar class ships from battlestar galactica.... dont mean to undermine the piece as it is awesome but it does look like its from BSG universe or could be used there ....

oh ya, forgot to mention it gives me the mon calamari feel when i see it too.
(that feel being the feel of grey, more smooth angles and curves, massive, and resembles a fish [but this one doesnt])

That's like, the capital ship of the grand fleet or something cuz that thing is MASSIVE. A bit too large for my personal tastes because that wouldn't offer any manuverability what-so-ever.
For a Flagship my personal preference is a slightly larger than your average capital ship supp-ed up ship. For instance if the standard capital ship in your fleet is say... Star destroyers for example, i'd want my flag to be a small super star destroyer, not even a normal one because that too is too big for my tastes. like, 1.5x bigger than ur standard, maybe 1.75.
What did you intend for this ship/station's role to be in a battle, in general, in command chain?

Well, its the Core Warship of grand fleets, being a battleship, its primary roll is power projection as the core elements of a huge fleet, as wel las planetary pacification.

Having helped work on the background (the render is all DD's) for the Jahram Escort Carrier, I can say that, for practical intents and purposes, "Fleet Carrier" = "Supercarrier."
Modern carriers tend to get called "Super-" because they're THAT much larger than pre-atomic-powered carriers.

lol, well yes it is big enough to have its own fleet of support squadrons, alot of space onboard a battleship is likely dedicated to subsystems for the weapons and shields... were as a carrier the bulk of its systems are dedicated towards strikecraft.... man i sound like a nerd
