I actually thought I was going to go with a whole story based around this design, and struggled to put clothes on them
...then I discovered Utroms and never looked back.

Well it can still fit with 80's Krang...in a parodic story! XD But yeah , the Utrom concept with IDW Krang simplified a LOT of things !

Then again, I was trying to work around an au where the clones were really just his sons that he called in for help, and seeing him reduced to a brain, turned on him. Or at least one of them did and pressured the others into it as well.
Needless to say, I much prefer going with an Utrom-based storyline.

Hey, dude, I've been meaning to ask - have you seen the 2012 TMNT series?

Yup , I've caught some episodes. Here are my impressions :
THE GOOD :
- A sympathetic Shredder (the comics started that way, but he was more a plot device than a character)
- Raphael having his sarcastic wit (seriously those are great moments)
- Donatello being voiced by Rob Paulsen
- Leonardo trying to be the leader
- One of the best Karais ever
- Splinter
- The villains ( Baxter , Tiger Claw and KRANG making a come back ! I've also heard that the awesomeness of Bebop and Rocksteady will be included !)
- New spin on the Rat King
- Adorable Leatherhead !
THE BAD :
- I agree that they try waaaay too hard with Mikey's humor and that's Β a problem that started with the 2003 series
- April and Casey as teens... NO. Just NO. And April's entire appeal is that she' a regular human, why the hell make her the Kraang's target ?
All in all , it is a pretty good series .

Yup ! I was surprised how few people bring up the fact that Krang looked like that. Though for all the show's censorship, what Krang did to them was actually worse than killing them !
