I know, since I saw your previous pictures related to Berserk (I love the Bugs one!); and that's why I thought I'd share the link with you. Probably you already knew about the game's release, but I wanted to tell you nonetheless.Β
As for Rambo, I never read the book (and if it has that sadder ending, probably won't) nor have I seen the movies after First Blood. However, since I saw FB, it always bothered me (not in a horribly bad way) how the first film was all about war being bad and Rambo being a tragic yet smart and lethal soldier; whereas in the rest war is mostly awesome fights and gunpowder; and Rambo's a gun-totting action hero.
P.D: That final monologue in the film is perhaps the ONLY movie quote I consider good enough to deserve being tattooed on someone's back. Every single word of it.

I'd say it's all about timing. The novel is kind of an observation about veterans in general are treated horribly (Both Teasle and Rambo are protagonists and veterans in that !)... the movie wants to give hope to old and forgotten veterans hence the re-write of the ending.Β
